zorgin_1974
Hi, utorrent team! I does not found any references to this article on a forum: https://torrentfreak.com/bittorrent-can-be-exploited-for-dos-attacks-research-warns/Link to a paper: https://www.usenix.org/conference/woot15/workshop-program/presentation/p2p-file-sharing-hell-exploiting-bittorrentIt will be interesting to discuss finding exploits of uTP and DHT and understand how big is a threat. DreadWingKnight
The amplification gained from using bittorrent is no where near the amplification gained from the DNS reflection and NTP reflection attacks already being used.
zorgin_1974
Anyway, vulnerability is bad. Especially if we imagine that DNS reflectors can be about 50 or 100 thousand at the moment. On the other hand the active torrent-clients can be up to 50 or 100 millon at the moment! DreadWingKnight
DNS reflectors also typically have thousands to millions of times the pipe size compared to torrent clients.
