utorrent causes audio to skip

pretty simple to explain but i can't figure out why this is happening....

when utorrent is downloading (it maxes out at 1.1mb here) i can't watch any video as the audio cuts out every few seconds....

it took me ages to figure out that i was utorrent but eventually did as i've tried watching videos when nothing else was open or operating (besides the normal background tasks of course).

now this wouldn't be such a problem except if i turn utorrent off it doesn't help until i restart my laptop....

  using osx 10.10.4

  MacBook Pro
  Model Identifier:    MacBookPro8,3
  Processor Name:    Intel Core i7
  Processor Speed:    2.3 GHz
  Number of Processors:    1
  Total Number of Cores:    4
L2 Cache (per Core):    256 KB
  L3 Cache:    8 MB
  Memory:    16 GB

using a NI traktor kontrol S2 as sound card (but the issue persists if i switch to onboard soundcard)

and utorrent Version 1.8.6 (36417)

bear in mind that the issue is the same regardless of which video player i'm using....   but note also that the video itself doesn't skip, just the audio of the video

hope we can figure this out....cheers

FYI this is for Windows Help not Mac Post to the right forum. Also any video help is up to you to contact the torrent creator not utorrent. Also one should let it finish before watching it trying to watch and download same time your asking for problems.

You said it in your own previous posting....your multiple videos are still being downloaded and watching them could cause hiccups during playback even if your trying to watch a finished one.

i will post in the mac section....but as you've jumped to conclusions i am not trying to watch an unfinished torrent <_<  and it's not an issue with the video....

Also if the video your trying to watch is on the same drive your forcing the system to read/write on the same platter something that will over work the hardware also causing hiccups. So one  should move it to another HDD or portable and watch from that device so that your current drive that is writing the videos isn't tasking to much task.
