Having problems with my upload speed

Hi there,

 

I'm a new to this forum. Because i had no clue on what to do i thought i will reach out to this community full of people with knowledge(i hope so:P).

 

Anyways im having problems with my upload speed with Utorrent. Im running Utorrent 1.8.4(29971). On the other hand im getting my full speed download speed( a average of 15 MB/s) but im not getting  near my upload speed. Is there something i need to set up. I was having this same problem with my windows laptop before i purchased my new macbook pro which is running Mavericks versions 10.9.4. 

 

Could someone within this community help me out with this rather annoying problem im having?
