Alex Xander
Hi, i started to get this error when i try to download E: drive. I can successfully download at other drives (C:,D:,F: etc) but E:. I checked the faq but i think it is not related with path length. Can you help me ? Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, uTorrent 3.4.2 (build 32549) oh btw i was using 3-4 month old utorrent version without any problem but when i update this problem started.. Kitsoran
chkdsk /r if you can spare the time (unless you're on an SSD, don't do that to it). What AV/Firewall do you have?

No bad sector.Default Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials. I don't think it is related with them though.

Alex Xander
May help, read my post herehttp://forum.utorrent.com/topic/92336-keep-getting-error-access-is-denied-write-to-disk/#entry491695 I tried to download to a new folder and it worked. Thank you very much but isn't it really weird? I was using seperate folders(music, game, movie, apps etc) to download and all of them is causing this error but not the new ones. Could it be a bug with new build ?
RhinoNZ
It has to be. Nothing else has changed except for the build. Only reason I upgraded was due to the fact that I did a fresh OS install, otherwise I wold not have had this issue. Lets hope they bug squash it & give us a patch fix Glad my workaround worked for you mate
louise.mann69
thanks for all your advice. I was getting this issue and I'd had to change user names etc previously on my computer which seems to have been the problem. Changed to download to external hard drive and its working fine.
