kusanagiyang
hello friends,i did a "netstat -nb" and found less than 20 active mutorrent connections. by checking Peers tab torrent by torrent, active connections should total to more than 200 easily. for some reason, they were not shown in the result of "netstat -nb". i did this a few years before and i could remember that it took a while for the command prompt to return. back then, "netstat -bn" did show all connections, including ones from mutorrent. is this normal? PiusX
What does netstat have anything to do with Ut? All it does is check your computer connections not Ut connections. Sounds like your confusing two different program as one. Also seeders seed when they seed and your not going to get any more then the seeders seed or how many seed the same file. Violator
@PiusXNetstat shows which network connections running programs have open etc., which includes uT. -nb shows ip's, ports and the responsible program. @kusanagiyang Try to add the "a" switch to it. DreadWingKnight
uTP peers don't show up on the list. netstat doesn't track UDP streams
Violator
-a : Displays all active TCP connections and the TCP and UDP ports on which the computer is listening Also, connections are not the same thing as streams, but streams require connections. DreadWingKnight
UDP "connections" don't actually show up though.
Violator
netstat -anb -p UDP Active Connections [uTorrent.exe] UDP 0.0.0.0:3544 *:* [uTorrent.exe] UDP 0.0.0.0:14502 *:* [uTorrent.exe] UDP 0.0.0.0:27036 *:* [uTorrent.exe] UDP 127.0.0.1:62763 *:* [uTorrent.exe] UDP 192.168.1.3:51592 *:* There can be multiple connections on a single port from the same program though, which it doesn't show, so if that is what you mean your correct. DreadWingKnight
Those are all listens, not actual connections.
Violator
Sorry, my mistake. Wireshark would be an option then.
