jmg999
Hi, I'm running v3.4.2 (build 33080) 32-bit on a 64-bit Windows 7 box. This full-screen ad for Sync has been popping up in the uTorrent window every 10 minutes or so, and there's no way to close it out. There's an "X" in the upper-right-hand corner, but clicking it does not close the ad. Instead, I'm forced to shut uTorrent down, and re-open it. This works for ~10 minutes, and the ad reappears, at which point, I'm forced to repeat this process. I've looked online for tips on how to disable these ads w/in uTorrent, but it hasn't worked for this ad. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you. smokinsickstyle
I registered because I am having the same problem. Everytime I maximize uTorrent from a minimized state, that annoying sync window pops up and pressing X at the top right does nothing. How do you permanently disable that? rafi
Does it happen with the latest stable (33870)? It was probably designed to be a one-time thing... If it still does repeat, try one of these two remedies... : http://forum.utorrent.com/topic/88607-34x-stable/?p=493769http://forum.utorrent.com/topic/88607-34x-stable/?p=493776
meet2326
I found the solution for this. Instead of restarting, just click on one of the links from the left-panel (Downloading, Seeding, or any other link), and the respective list of torrents as per the link clicked will replace the ad. After that the ad doesn't pop up unless I restore it after minimizing it to the notification area. It works for me, my version is 3.4.2, (build 33870) 32-bit.
