blackmanrisingX
I just started college today and I tried to access the Internet. After I logged in with my college's portal username/password, it told me to download a Cisco NAC Agent. The fucking thing scanned my computer and it said that it found a P2P file sharing program and I needed to remove it. I was wondering if there was a way around this because currently I have access to the Internet, but my torrents are stuck at "Connecting to Peers" and every 45 minutes i need to reset the Cisco installer to get 45 minutes of temporary internet access. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I was thinking that maybe I could delete my utorrent, then reinstall it, then set the protocol encryption to Enabled. Do you think that would work? DreadWingKnight
Given what the program likely does, no.
blackmanrisingX
How could I get a separate internet connection at a low cost? I saw some wireless modems, but would I need a subscription for those to work?

blackmanrisingX
So is that an alternative to torrenting? If I get a modem and use my college's internet provider? Also, can you tell me what you would do in my situation? I have spent about 4 hours googling and I came up with nothing. What torrent software is good, but not popular enough to be detected, in your opinion? Thanks.
DreadWingKnight
It doesn't matter what torrent software you use. It WILL get detected by that cisco agent software because of HOW it behaves, not what it's named.
