gazcock
My hard drive was almost full so I thought id have a go at moving it all to a usb pen. The issue I now have is that when I exit utorrent and go in again none of my torrents are there. Im not techy but noted that the ".torrent" extension was amended to ".torrent.loaded" . Removing the ".loaded" ext made the torrent appear but not stay there when i log out and in again. Any "idiots guide" help appreciated.
mcaspi
As for drive full, there should be deleted torrent in the Trash Bin. Delete them to get more space on your disk. When you close uTorrent it takes some time for it to fully exit so wait about a minute after you close it and want to start it again. There is also no point in closing and staring the program the way you do so don't do it.
gazcock
hi thanks for that. I'm trying to repair my damage. In trying to understand the process I can see a torrent file is created in both c\users\g\downloads and also in app data\utorrent (where they remain) and the film goes to users\downloads also. What i dont understand is when i replicate the above manually the torrent is not picked up by my client. It attempts to download it all again (loads of films) yet the download is already there ? Any help much appreciated
mcaspi
Don't change things manually unless you know what you're doing. You just mess things this way. Read uTorrent's help regarding the locations of your torrents.
