5fireflies
uTorrent works great, but I have some questions: 1. Can I delete the torrent after I've finished with it, or do I need to keep it in order to seed? 2. Can I move the files around on my hard drive or in the cloud, or will this impede sharing? DreadWingKnight
1> Usually need to keep it in order to seed 2> You MUST tell uTorrent where you've moved the files to in order for that to not interfere.
5fireflies
Cool. How do I tell uTorrent where I've moved the files to?
DreadWingKnight
Depends on the type of torrent (single vs multi file) and other factors, but usually either "Set Download Location" from the torrent task list or "Relocate" from the files tab. 5fireflies
I don't think I expressed myself very clearly. I will leave the .torrent files in the location I specified in Preferences > Directories. But I may want to move the .jpeg or .mp3 files (or whatever file type) to another folder. I don't see a "Relocate" or "Set Download Location" button. I'm using uTorrent for OS X.
5fireflies
I'm getting error messages too: "files missing from job" and "invalid download state."
DreadWingKnight
They are command menu options, not buttons. And this is the windows section of the forums.
5fireflies
I will post in the Mac section. Missed that.
hunter_t1000
How can I in this program to automatically delete the torrent files? I can't find such settings. I don't like to manually delete unnecessary files after adding the desired distribution in the torrent client. For example in Transmission-qt there is such an option, but Transmission-qt I don't like. It is slow to start.
DreadWingKnight
There is no such option.
