joe6966
I was DLing 8 episodes of Better Call Saul, and the first 6 came in at 3.4 MB/sec. I thought that was excellent, as my maximum bandwidth is 3.75 MB/sec. The last 2 episodes slowed down to less than 1KB/sec for over 8 hours, then I deleted them.I checked if my new ISP was throttling my DL using Glasnost, and it came back as not being throttled. I had a green checkmark in the bottom right corner, and there were plently of peers and seeders. During the whole 8 hours the seeders were not being used, with around 37 peers being used. What's up? DreadWingKnight
With numbers like that, I'm betting either underseeded or unseeded torrents. Either way, we can't fix it.
joe6966
Why does utorrent show a large number of seeders that aren't there? Don't you think that is a bug that CAN be fixed? The same problem is happening right now with House of Cards. It shows 668 seeders that are not being used. The DL speed went up to 1.4 MB/sec fairly fast, then dropped to 1KB/sec. At least it is now over 700 KB/sec and will probably finish without using the seeders. DreadWingKnight
It's not a bug in uTorrent if the trackers are lying about how many seeds are there.
