I've downloaded a few torrents with not many problems but this specific one is causeing so much havic on my computer, and on me personally, that I just want to take a shotgun to it and blow it to smitherines. I have been trying to download this torrent, <munched by admin, don't link content>, for a week now, and after having to restart it over 5 times I finally have it downloading but it's only downloaded 28.7% and I've already, cut out the episodes that I don't want to download taking it from 119GB to 88.2GB. I've already added all the trackers I can find to it but that's not really helping. And I've run the setup guide again to get the best settings, but still I've gotten only 28.7% or 25.3GB to download in the last 17 hours and it says it might take a week to finish it. My internet is a 40.127/5.120 Mbps Centurylink DSL connection and I'm only getting an avg 408.4kB/s Downspeed and an avg of 143.8kB/s Up Speed on this torrent. Why is this happening? I used to be able to download a 30GB or more torrent in just a few minutes. Now it takes DAYS!!! Will someone please help me.....I don't know what else to do.....What do i need to change to get this to work properly and consistantly? I've got Windows 7 64-bit and over 3TB of disk space available. I was useing the uTorrent Version 3.4.3 Beta (build 40138) but after reading some of the forums i decided to drop down to the Version 3.4.3 (build 39944) 32-bit stable version. either version I was using I was getting the same results, so I just don't know what I'm missing that is making this so hard to download and such. I've tried to use the "Best Practice Tips" webpage but it's not all there and it's the rest of the post that I need so I'm stuck. DreadWingKnight Posted April 18, 2015 Report Share Posted April 18, 2015 So you're dealing with a torrent that is likely under-seeded for the demand and not going to be able to get anything out of it. If the availability of the torrent is around 0.287 (info tab) you're stuck. Adding trackers doesn't help, and in fact creates a DoS attack like effect. ajmorin369 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 19, 2015 I'm not sure about the seeds and stuff and if I remember correctly seeds are other people that have the file or parts of the file that I'm downloading and so for me to be able to download the torrent there needs to be a lot of seeders? I'm not sure really how all of this works and what some of this stuff means, but i've added a screenshot of my uTorrent info tab too look at. Not too long after that uTorrent crashed again and now I'm having to start it up again and hopefully i didn't loose too much......oh man this is such B S and I'm getting so frustrated over it.
