NOBUDEH
I am getting really slow download speeds of about 24 kB/s. I just got back from college were I was getting roughly 300 kB/s and prior to college I was getting around 500kB/s at home. I am not sure why it is so slow the torrent has plenty of over a 1000 seeders and a ton of peers. I have tried almost every configuration possible even resorted to some of the lame youtube ones but none of them worked. So currently I have all the default settings. I also run through a router a Linksys E2000 with Comcast cable(LAN)I do have my port forwardedRun Windows 7 64bitWindows firewall is completely out of the way/ and do not run an anti virus program besides MalwarebytesI use peerblock, but have tried turning it off to no availspeedtest.net dl 1.44Mb/s and ul .36 Mb/sAlso sometimes while the torrents downloading the number of seeders I am connected with drops to zero and just stays there. Thanks
locomotivebreath
Me too; this started a couple of days ago. Also on Comcast, with XP and thru a VPN. Using Comodo instead of Windows firewall. Speed and network tests show no problem, and network OK.
dothackjhe
Same here. Been downloading for hours now a torrent that tons of seeders, peers, leechers, and torrent's health bar to full but am only getting an average of 11.5 Kbps. With my current configuration, I could download some torrents at 100-120 Kbps when plenty of seeders and peers are around.
skrz
I also have the speed problem (probably since version 3.0).It acts like this: I'm downloading torrent with thousands of seeds (EZTV stuff), but the download and upload speed are slow. This definitely did not happened before version 3.0.I noticed, that the speed problems are related to "Apply rate to uTP connections" option. When I disable the option, my download speed are normal (e.g. 1000 Kbps and more), but when I check the option, the download speed immediately drops (e.g. to 200 Kbps) although my "Global Download Rate Limiting" is set to 1000.Upload speed is behaving similar.I haven't changed anything in my setup (win7 64bit, windows firewall) since pre-3.0 version...It seems that the "Apply rate to uTP connections" is to blame.CAN SOMEBODY CONFIRM IT? I was having the download issue for awhile. Sometimes would download quick and most of the time it was not. I was using version 2.2.1 and just updated to 3.0 today and still had the same issue until I removed the check mark. Thanks
TradeOn
So that certaintly made a marked improvement for me also. Unchecking the setting more than doubled the speed improvement back to a half decent rate now at least. How does this setting either a) get turned on or suddenly now have such a bad effect on the download speeds? (Has something on the net changed lately?) Or is it a ratio issue that is implied somewhere else in Utorrent that we are all missing or something ....?V 2.2.1 - haven't lifted to V3 yet.Tradeon

Wouldn't mind trying to get fast download speeds back again with some control over my upload stream.Grateful for any assistance
TradeOn
Seems like the latest version build might have bene released to solve the issue? Makes not difference now to the download speed if Utp is on or off, but i do get the upload speed controlled again. if this is the case thanks! skrz
I'm still having the issue even with the latest beta.Because some of you confirmed this behavior I've started a thread in "Found Bugs" dedicated to problem with this option. We should probably continue discussing the issue there.
