But, unlike the previous version (2.x), this has a very very high CPU usage, and the CPU usage increases with the torrent download speed. That means that when I open utorrent, I can still work in the computer normally, but 1 minute later the computer becomes very slow, so slow that even the mouse is hard to move.The cpu usage in lower speeds gets to about 50%, but in higher it passes 90%...I installed this version just for the uTorrent remote, but honestly, I prefer to keep using webUI and have a lower cpu usage.I already switched to another(lighter) BT client, but the problem is that it cannot resume unfinished uTorrent downloads, so, can someone supply the latest 2.x version so I can go back to it.Thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

funkychunky Posted July 20, 2011 Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 I have the same sort of issue.Everything's fine when first opening utorrent then within a few minutes the CPU usage goes from between 1-4% to 25-30%. At this point the total download speed rarely exceeds 10kbs.When closing utorrent when it's in this state (full exit), the process remains (with it's high CPU usage). Even when ending process from task manager and opening up utorrent again it instantly has the same issues (after the recheck). The only way to get back to the initial start speeds is to reboot, then the cycle starts over again...utorrent build 25460I have 2 dump files if anyone knows how to read them....... When I first installed uTorrent 3 I really liked it, especially the streaming feature, although I always get timed out when trying to download apps, but that is another story. It ran fine for a day or 2 I think, not exactly sure then the same issue started to occur. I also have dumps I can send if it will help.Thanks in advance,Sam. Works fine 1 minute or so then CPU goes up to 50% and download speed down somewhere about 10kb. net.low_cpu doesn't solve the problem. Also I cannot kill the process. File->Exit only closes the front end but the process is still running. End process or end process tree does not work and if by chance it does it cannot check the downloaded files and it starts all over again :| Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bazzilic Posted October 16, 2011 Report Share Posted October 16, 2011 Same problem.Windows 7 x64 SP1, 4 Gb RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.27 GHzuTorrent 3.0 (build 25756) [32-bit]uTorrent consumes one core completely (so in task manager it shows 50% cpu usage), dl speed is about 10 KB/s. Sometimes (a very rare case!) it works fine after closing uTorrent, killing that process and starting it again. Still, it starts to consume 50% and dl at 10KB/s again after a while.
