µTorrent rejects valid torrent URLs

When I try to start a torrent via the Add URL button, it refuses to accept the URL if it doesn't end in ".torrent". This is a regression, as it used to work just fine in older versions. Some torrent directories only reference the torrents by ID in the URL (but if you download them you get a .torrent file). I've successfully tricked it by adding &.torrent or ?.torrent onto the end of the URL when I paste it in. without that .torrent on the end, it just says it's invalid and won't even let me click the OK button.
