ciaobaby
Is "[ ] Always show tray icon" checked?
Dstruct
Of course not. I want to see the tray icon only when minimized.
DreadWingKnight
Then when the window isn't minimized, the icon won't be in the tray.
Dstruct
Right. But on minimize it's not there. So I have to close µTorrent via Taskmanager

telflonmail
Same with uTorrent 3.3 (build 29625) [32-bit] under Windows XP SP3In UI Settings, under System Tray.(check) Minimize button uT to tray(check) Single click on tray icon to open(check) Show ballon notification in try(check) Always activate when clicksConsistently does not show tray icon on first minimize after starting program. Also, does the not showing on minimize at other times. I started observing this issue thinking I was clicking the close button - task manager confirmed the program was still running. Also, noticed the icon disappear from tray!Upgraded from 3.1.

rafi
Bump. Still not fixed in 3.3.1.30017!On XP? If so, Can you try with 3.3.2 ? And also with this 3.3.1 and a tray.ico file?
Dstruct
It's on XP SP3. No tray.ico file here. Tray icon shows up fine but disappears on minimize if "Always show tray icon" is disabled and "Minimize button minimizes uT to tray" is enabled. No way to get uTorrent back on the screen. You have to kill it via TaskManager and restart it.

ciaobaby
No way to get uTorrent back on the screenUsing the desktop shortcut or the start menu entry will ALSO show the GUI if the downloader is already running.
rafi
No way to get uTorrent back on the screenUsing the desktop shortcut or the start menu entry will ALSO show the GUI if the downloader is already running.Clearly this is not the point here... no-one is looking for 'shortcuts'... ciaobaby
The point WAS "No way to get uTorrent back on the screen" and my reply was to tell the questioner TWO other ways to display the GUI on screen, or are you going to try and convince us that clicking on ANY of the uTorrent "shortcuts" will not do EXACTLY that????The system tray icon is only ONE of the ways to display the GUI application.
