DreadWingKnight
Force start will not only NOT improve your chances of getting a file, it will more than likely slow down ALL your downloads.

saoir
I know someone will shoot me.,.. but I just moved to uTorrent last week and had a few problems which I have now sorted. However I soon discovered that NONE of my download torrents would start on their own. I left them for up to two days.. NOTHING.Until I force started them. I have to force start everything and they go straight to amazing speeds... >140k sometimes.. and all works fine. I don't want to upset rules or get a bad name or anything but I didn't seem to have any choice.
Ultima
Have you run the Speed Guide properly?
jsillup
@saoir: AFIK Force Start only overrides your Queue Settings on the Queueing page of Preferences. For example, if you have maximum number of downloads set to 4 but you believe you have sufficient bandwidth to support a 5th you could Force Start the 5th torrent. saoir
Thanks jsillup - but I have no downloads at all downloading when I have to do this. I will check again though. Had to do it again today.... NO downloads queued or downloading and no movement for an hour until I force started and then >14k....Saoir
Nefarious
you changed the queue setings, that normally happens when u set the "maximum number of uploads/downloads" to 0, as Ultima said, Have you run the Speed Guide properly?
