What does "banned" mean in the logger tab?

I think the file Im trying to get is fake or dead but I get these banned logs followed by an IP in the logger tab.

An ip is banned by µTorrent either because that ip is in one of the blockranges found in its ipfilter.dat file...OR because that ip was one of the ips that contributed a bad piece of the torrent, causing a hash fail. µTorrent should be able to download a good copy of that piece assuming other seeds+peers actually have a good copy of it themselves.
