Ultima
You can't. If you can't handle sharing back what you get from others, then don't use P2P.
hongwooder
Dear Ultima,I'm sorry. I don't know much about this program. I've bought a membership of download movies today. It said I had to download this program to browse movies. So the first time I use it. Please let me know what does P2P mean.
Ultima
P2P = Peer-to-peerhttp://www.utorrent.com/beginners-guide.phpYou were ripped off. Call your credit-card company and ask to cancel the payment. And cancel your membership. µTorrent is absolutely free, and you can always download it from here -- for free. Ultima
I (and no one else here) will help you find content; it's not what we do here. We only provide support for µTorrent, the BitTorrent client -- that's all.
Switeck
You can have "our" program because who you got it from didn't make it and are trying to sell something that is not theirs. You can download with this program because there are numerous websites offering for free various .torrent files for just about anything imaginable. We don't sell that either, nor do we make it.And btw, I didn't make µTorrent either. I just post here trying to help others trying to use it. yourpcguy
disabling your upload will hurt your download speeds.up and down are 2 diff things stopping one wont help the other.
HellasVagabond
Actually big Upload Speeds DO hurt the Download Speed.....
Firon
Only if you don't cap it properly to not choke your connection.
HellasVagabond
True but the default Utorrent upload speeds do in fact sometimes choke the connection. I think that an 25-30kb/s upload is the best possible setting for most connections.
Switeck
I rather hate the default (no-settings) of unlimited upload speed on µTorrent.Yes, there are LOTS of "broadband" connections with only 256 kilobits/sec upload bandwidth. That's only 32 KiloBYTES/sec upload speed THEORETICAL max with no overheads of any kind. But with TCP/IP, there's probably 1 bit extra needed for each 8 bits in a byte....and then another for BitTorrent traffic. So that 256 kilobits/sec upload bandwidth only nets about 25 KiloBYTES/sec upload speed in µTorrent. And people like to run multiple torrents at once with 4 or more upload slots each...so from any particular ip you might be downloading at all of 3 KiloBYTES/sec.
