uTorrent freezes my internet connection (Vista)

Hi, I have used uTorrent for many years and have been very happy with it.

But the other day I installed the 1.8 Alpha verion, but I later reverted to the latest stable 1.7 version.

After all this I have big problems with my internet surfing; while im running uTorrent I can just forget to surf the internet at all (it's the same in IE7, Firefox 2.0.9 and Opera).

When I exit uTorrent this is still the case for about 3-5 minutes, then suddenly all internet browsing sessions unlocks and my speed is up to normal again.

Anybody else experienced this?

I use Vista Home Premium with latest patches, for security I use the Vista FW and ESET NOD32 3.0.566 AV.

I need help. :-)
