At best it screws up your settings.
At WORST it's mal/ad/bad-ware. The only thing which increases your speeds beyond what's on this site... is getting a faster connection

Hi, new to the forums. I found this small app called uTorrent Turbo Booster (link: http://www.download-boosters.com/index. … amp;id=128)
All I see on their website is marketing blabber. Does anybody know what exactly this app does to your PC and/or uTorrent client? How does it make anything faster beyond the constraints of your ISP's throughput limits if that is what you already get out of Torrenting.
I'm just curious of the technical details, because it leads me to believe that every application they are selling on download-boosters.com is just a placebo that they make people pay for.
Also im in 3rd year networking in IT and wanted to hear what the professionals have to say! 
If anyone can debate this, please move this into a separate thread especially if its in the wrong section.

TCP Optimizer...go GOOGLE that.
Some of the "uTorrent booster" programs may do something like that, which might help slightly with high speed but high latency lines.
