zomblivion
A few days ago I made my first torrent and successfully uploaded it to several trackers. I turned on initial seeding and have seeded nonstop. Now it seems many leechers are stuck at 99.8% and apparently there are only two seeders, one being myself. My ratio is at 9.5, surely I should have more seeds by now.My question of course is why aren't they completely downloading? Is it something to do with initial seeding (I've never had to use it before)? I'm slowly losing leechers because they're just giving up and moving on. I don't want my first torrent upload to be a dud. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
sradz113
this happened to my friend the other day, did you click on the torrent and look at files? if part of the file is red odds are it is corrupted or something, my friend had to take his down and reseed a new torrent and left like 50 ppl at 98.3%
zomblivion
Thanks for the quick reply. The availability is good on all torrent files, they're all blue.
Switeck
Stop your torrent and do a Force RE-CHECK on it.If it fails to reach 100%, your copy has been altered since you created the torrent!
zomblivion
Yep, that's it. Both of you were right. Now.. is there anyway to resolve that issue? Can I not upload new files to an already created torrent? Or can they just not download those files which don't have complete availability? Switeck
Next time, make sure NOT to change the files AFTER making a torrent....And make another torrent with the completed files.
zomblivion
If they skip the unavailable files though, the torrent will be downloaded 100%?The unavailable files are of no consequence.
Switeck
You have to make a NEW torrent which does not include now-missing files.
