Can't install utorrent on Win7 64bit

Not sure what the problem is. I'm trying to install utorrent on my m1330 from an administrator account, but nothing happens when I push the "install" button in the installer after selecting options (e.g. desktop icon etc). When I pus the install button, UAC does pop up and I give it permission to make changes but then nothing happens, I'm left on the same screen. I can continue to push install and UAC will again pop up but nothing. I can push cancel and the installer exits.

Is there a permissions problem or something?

im running windows 7 x64 ultimate and its running fine on my pc. u have to remember everytime you install a program, you have to right click the app and go to properties and check mark teh box, Run Administrator, and as a habit afterwards when i install i click on run as admin to open.

im just having a problem dl'ing a torrent that has a unrar'd keygen from a private tracker. i get the message, Torrent error: Acess is denied

oh well cant have everything go perfect

All,

I had the same problem on Vista 32 bit version. I found a workaround that worked for me:

1. In the Properties dialog, Compatibility tab, select Windows XP SP2.

2. Install µTorrent. When it starts exit it.

3. Remove the compatibility check box and it will now run fine in native mode.

I am having the exact same Issue with windows 7 professional 64 bit. the 32 bit vista fix doesn't really make sense to me with this operating system. though I am still just getting started with it. Would love to get back to using torrent. Any help with this would be appreciated.
