...please close all uTorrent processes and try again." is the message I get.

I've had uTorrent for the last couple years and have always been really
happy with it until recently. I opted to upgrade because recently every time
I'd turn my computer on, it would tell me that there was a problem with my
uTorrent.. Up until that point, it was working fine, though. I tried installing
the new version, but when I tried to use it, it told me that it wasn't
responding and I needed to stop the uTorrent processes. I can't find out
where that would be. I uninstalled uTorrent but it wont get off my computer.
It's like AOL! It's still there!!! wth?? Please help.

Sounds like something got corrupted on your computer. How does your web surfing go without Ut running? And you can't remove Ut that something hard to believe I can uninstall and remove it without any problems. Also what version did you use at the time of the problem and the most recent problem? What program is telling you have a problem with Ut???

I'm also getting this annoying trouble that I'm sure it's a uTorrent's bug!

I open uTorrent, download some torrents normally and when I finish the downloads I close it's window, but the uTorrent.exe process remains running in memory, like it was a rootkit (I cannot kill the process via Task Manager lol!)

Looks like uTorrent is not having some of it's objects destroyed correctly (maybe a thread or pipe object...)

Rebooting the computer solves the problem, but temporary since no fix has been released til now.

Btw, I always run uTorrent with Administrator privileges (Right-click on uTorrent.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> "Always run as Admin", maybe this is the cause? o_0

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x86 6.1.7600 (original) with the latest updates.
3 GB memory
intel core 2 duo 2ghz

Humm... I think GuangZor is experiencing the nasty bug with Win 7 and IPv6.

Just noticed you have both avg and norton installed. Might wanna get rid of one. (I recommend keeping AVG) Having dual av's has been known to cause problems. They both will want to check the processes and threads sent by utorrent and could have caused a loop of checking between them. (one checks it and says its safe and the other notices its been changed again so it rechecks, it keeps going like this never unlocking the processes to close them down) Try uninstalling one or the other and see if that helps.
