What does the Peer dl. column show?

Perhaps a stupid question, but what does the "Peer dl." column in the Peers tab show?

it means that the peer is downloading at the speed shown in that column..
there's no guarantee that it's correct..

An estimate of the peer's DL speed based on the rate of HAVE messages.

Thanks I thought it was the Peer's dl speed, but it didn't really make sense sometimes because it was sometimes lower than my upload rate to them, so I just wanted to confirm.

Maybe peer is downloading not only from you

No I know that, but the number in the "Peer dl." column was lower than the number in the "Upload" column. Therefore, according to it, the peer was downloading slower than I was uploading to them.

Ahh sorry speed shown is not very accurate, but should be close to real

Yep, now I understand. That [described above] was actually the only reason I started this thread. I was also confused a bit when I saw slower Peer dl. than my upload

I was just about to make a topic with the exact same title. I don't know why I couldn't find it. I searched for it so many times. The search function probably needs a revamp or something.
