Strange problem - uTorrent running but not responding

Every now and then I'll stumble onto a torrent that will resolve to an Access Denied error after downloading normally for the first several minutes. The way I've been resolving this is simply by running uTorrent as administrator (right-click shortcut and run as admin).

As mentioned, this solves the access denied problem but when I'm running uTorrent as an admin, I'm unable to open torrents directly inside of uTorrent itself from either a website or even my desktop where a .torrent file may be situated.

If I double-click a .torrent file from my desktop or initiate the download with the "Open With... (utorrent.exe)" option in Firefox, I'm greeted with:

When in non-admin mode, uTorrent behaves as normal. Any ideas as to what could be the cause of this?

OS: Win 7 (32bit)
