µTorrent doesn't install itself, so it'll run from wherever you saved the exe to.

Re: Schedule Download for Utorrent
Yes, in the options. It allows you to set an upload/download speed, and set it to Limit, go full speed, or stop torrents altogether by the hour/day. You can also make it turn off DHT during hours you set to "Turn off."
Version 1.4.1 beta 417 and later have a new scheduler mode for Seeding only. Hold shift while selecting the hours and it'll turn red, which indicates seed-only mode.
I dont get it..>? HOlding shift dont work

Re: Schedule Download for Utorrent
Yeah. It works. I'm asking you, did you check "Enable Scheduler"? Holding Shift and clicking the box you want will change it to red (well, actually, it's pink, but close enough). I'm not sure how much clearer the FAQ can be. If my hunch is right and you thought that just holding Shift would change the color without you clicking, I'm baffled (no offense) =o

"WHILE SELECTING THE HOURS." It's obvious, use your brain.
And shift while selecting is for seeding. Can't you read?

Re: Schedule Download for Utorrent
*sigh*
There's NO possible way it's not working. Unless your Shift key is busted. Hold Shift, while clicking on the box you want. It should turn PINK like I said (not really red, but who really cares?).

Re: Schedule Download for Utorrent
I think there's some confusion here. uTorrent allows you to schedule when it will be active, using the scheduling options in the preferences dialog. That determines at which times through the day uTorrent will be allowed to use max/half/no bandwidth.
I suspect davidw89 wants to schedule a particular download (i.e., torrent) to kick off at a particular time, which of course uTorrent doesn't support.
Perhaps if people got less frustrated and tried to explain things or ask for more details, rather than just making comments like "Can't you read", everyone would get on better. ![]()

Re: Schedule Download for Utorrent
davidw89, whats the problem, get that .torrent file, and setup the normal windows scheduler to start the utorrent.exe with that .torrent at the time you need it to kick off.

Re: Schedule Download for Utorrent
Try this.
Locate your uTorrent by right-clicking on Shortcut and onto Properties. Find Target..
Since utorrent's a standalone software, you can put it anywhere you like. (I stuff all standalone programs into C:\Program Files so it easier to find them)
Add the location to fbtaskscheduler. It works since I've tested this before posting. Hope this is the answer you're looking for.
