Nightly builds?

Is this planned during the development of the Mac client? If not nightly, at least a few refresh builds along the way? I would love to "keep up" with the development as new features are added and bugs are fixed.

Nightlies? Likely no. Once again, time is never a meterstick by which the devs measure against to determine when to release.

We haven't really thought about providing more frequent releases or nightly builds.

I'm not opposed to that and it could be helpful for us to get more testing on builds but we don't have a process for that figured out at the moment.

How about access to checkout the svn repository? You can just build it yourself with xcode when you download it.

Our code is not open-source so that won't happen.

Forgive my stupidity... isn't the MAIN code/core of this uT/Mac the same as uT... so I don't think they'll give you code access.

@thelittlefire: did you even sign up for the uTorrent for mac announcement list? It's quite possible that you didn't get the announcement because you didn't actually sign up.

@Calcadium: The meterstick is basically "when its close to being ready, a beta is here. Moves out of beta status when that's ready."

I think you should do nightly builds as this will help with the development and can improve the client and it will allow for faster releases

One argument for it, is that I imagine improvement is quite rapid in the early phases, so you won't get as much old bug reports.

Nightlies are probably unnecessary, but regular betas would be sufficient.

Oh, no. I hope it won't be too long until 1.0 status. If there's something I love, it's new versions and new features/improvements

Really hope you will concider nightlies though for specially interested users

uTorrent doesn't cater to niche markets... but kjk said they will think about it. The only thing off limits right now is BYO uT/Mac
