Seed Problem

I am downloading this torrent with 556 seeds but can only connect to a max of 6. My download speed hardly goes past 50kB/s. I don't have this problem with other torrents. I can download Open Office with speeds of greater than 350kB/s and it can connect to 12 seeds out of a total of just 15.

Wow! The lingo is a bit much for a beginner, so I do not really understand, but right now, my computer says that it is seeding. What should I be looking for to see that it is doing what it is supposed to do?? Any help is appreciated:-)

I am trying to download a torrent and even there are 65 seeds I can't connect with anyone but seems that the peers can upload without trouble because I have 35 leeching in this moment. What can I do? I appreciate any news.
