Hi. So iv been using utorrent for years, but just installed a new computer. I have 2 folders on the same disc, one unfinished and one main. So iv checked the box saying "move completed downloads to" and marked the main folder. Still the files seems stuck in the temporary folder after starting to seed. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, I had been using the long outdated but fully functional utorrent 2.2.1 until a recent forced upgrade to Windows 11. I 'm now using utorrent classic 3.6.0.47028, and i've noticed that when i'm in the windows that allows me to select the download, it no longer shows the existing files inside the download folder where before it did. Is this a setting that I can adjust inside utorrent? example: I'm downloading an MP4 file into this folder, where before it would show me all the existing MP4 files in that folder already. Which torrent-client do you use?

Hope someone can help. I have just drastically upgraded my pc and all the torrents that were downloading in the app/program, and all that were seeded have gone. (the folders in windows explorer are still there, however). I went to the Qbitorrent forum (NOT this one, as it turns out), registered, shortly after was then advised the account was ‘inactive’, when trying to log in, and I should contact a ‘board admin’. Checked my emails for verification (account) there were none. I then went to the FAQ’s to find out how to contact a Board admin. It stated I should use the ‘team’ link, or the ‘contact us’ link. I searched thru a number of webpages on the forum, and saw NO reference to either! Aaahhhh~! Looking forward to some direction. thanks

I disagree about the power setting.. 1) that's the first thing I disable on all my systems. my computers run 24/7 and only the monitors go to sleep. 2) if it was a power setting, why would it only randomly affect torrents that are all on the same system? It's not consistent for specific torrents or specific times. uTorrent runs on my windows PC and downloads everything to my NAS.

FYI: torrents trackers can die off or be deleted even if the torrent file exists the site or trackers don't exists. Not sure why Firefox has anything to do with utorrent software itself here. Remember regardless of what IP you us your ISP knows your locations so your not really stopping them from tracking you but telling them what site your going to by doing that. One can't edit torrent links that is set by the creator of that torrent link itself. You need to find a better torrent link if you having issues with the site your using. Website and their ads has noting to do with utorrent here that is between you the user and the browser and what blocking software you using to resolve that issue.
