>No more problems. Back to smooth running. big_smile Thank you

Just try disable it again, see if it still loads the CPU...

If I select a map and the press [-] nothing happens

A bug... already on my list .. This whole feature seems incomplete.

Didn't get any "not responding" issues, but it certainly wasn't smooth.

Definitely the setting affecting the sluggishness. Best practice to leave it switched on. :D

I had a brainwave about the "not responding": When I originally checked the transp_disposition it was set to *21 but the bandwidth manager was also on.

I set it to default then toggled the bandwidth manager to see how it affected the value.

I tried to replicate the situation of having the manager on, yet the transp_disposition set to *21 but am unable.

Sooo this must have occurred at some point in the past and got carried over? And somehow created a conflict of interest?

You guys should link the release notes link to actual release notes rather than just to the forum

3.4.1 beta has been out for a bit now (30499) why hasn't anyone put out notes yet?

Here is what the uTorrent team would like to do in the near future:

Add the ability to make some problem reports and viewing the changelog into the client itself.

We don't have the system we need to do this yet.

µTorrent Release Candidate 5 (3.4.1 build 30534) is now available for download...(1.77 MB)

You forgot to mention - there is also a changelog... :P

Though, it is still marked at "Beta" ... So, at least they are honest about it... (or more likely - a "bug"... ;) )

Edit:

But RC5 30543, with improved high-speed performance is still available from the link over here, tho:

I've updated to uTorrent 3.4 RC Build 30553 and I have the utorrent-34-30553.chm in the %AppData%/utorrent/ directory. I changed it to utorrent-340-30553.chm then utorrent-341-30553.chm and I keep getting:

[2014-02-05 20:21:33] Help file not found in settings directory, attempting to download

[2014-02-05 20:21:33] Could not download help file. Error: HTTP Error 400

[2014-02-05 20:21:52] Help file not found in settings directory, attempting to download

[2014-02-05 20:21:52] Could not download help file. Error: HTTP Error 400

Then when I go to Help -> Check for Updates

I get a pop up window telling me:

Unable to contact update server.

Can anyone assist me with these two minor issues? Please see below if it helps:

Try rename to utorrent-340.chm . They have changed the naming convention w/o telling anyone...

Thank you rafi, it didn't work. I tried utorrent-340.chm utorrent-341.chm utorrent-34.chm . See my log file:

utorrent-340-30553.chm structure works fine here.

While utorrent is fully closed delete all .chm and utorrent-help.zip files.

Start utorrent and click on help in the toolbar then click on utorrent help.

Thank You Beasly for getting back to me. I was almost loosing it. I used the exact name you told me that it works you, utorrent-340-30553.chm, but it didn't work for me. :( See below screen shot

Check your exact build # and See tip #1 in my sig/guide...

Thank you for replying. Everything looks okay. This is what I tried. I have an older PC Pentium 3 @1.0 Ghz 500Mb Ram, Windows 7 Ult SP1 32-bit connected to the same home network wireless. I installed uTorrent 3.3.2 build 30544 (which I install on my PC), stayed with the default settings, and I pressed the F1 Key, it had no problem downloading and displaying utorrent-332-30544.chm with no errors. My dilemma is how does this happen on the same network?

I did some research on HTTP 400 ERROR and this is what I came up with:

Cause

The 400 Bad Request error is an HTTP status code that means that the request you sent to the website server (e.g. a request to load a web page) was somehow malformed therefore the server was unable to understand or process the request.

Resolution

Resolution

1. Check for errors in the URL. The most common reason for a 400 Bad Request error is because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to a URL with some kind of mistake in it.

2. Though it's rare, the 400 Bad Request error could be an issue with the web site's server that you are trying to access. You may want to attempt to contact the webmaster or another site contact and inform them of the error message. The webmaster of most Internet sites can be reached via email at webmaster@website.com, replacing website.com with the actual website name.

I only get this error when I attempt to use the F1 key to download the utorrenthelp.zip zip.

I am at a total loss, can anyone assist me in rectifying this, so I can get back up and running again? I would appreciate any and all assistance with my issue on my main PC.

Thank You.

Just started using 3.4 RC (30553) to see if it had fixed some of the issues i was having with 3.3.2 (30303).

I was having issues with frequent crashes in the previous version when using resume_dir, but haven't been able to recreate the issue with the new RC :)

However there are still the notes I have below.

Bugs:

- Log says ' torrent is not valid bencoding' for RSS feed with auto download, without specifying which torrent is the issue.

- When using resume_dir, removing a torrent from the UI, doesn't remove the resume data. (uTorrent reloads previously removed torrents when launched)

Feature Requests:

- Option to download metadata from Magnet link, without starting the download of the torrent (particularly for those added through RSS feeds, but not started)

- Merge 'Set Download Location' and 'Set Download Name' into one browse file dialog. (similar to how it used to work in 3.1.3 and earlier). -- I don't have an issue with having 3 options, ie. set download location, set download name, set download location & name.

- Have RSS downloader wait for everything to be loaded from resume file/directory before starting.
