  1. It took an ANNOYING *6* tries to get 30314. WHY is it so much trouble just to simply post a direct link to each build? Yeah, maybe a changelog immediately is asking a lot, but I *seriously* don;t think that asking for a direct link to each build is.
  2. @Beasly - LOVE IT!!!! LMFAO!!! ------------- I got 30305 one out of 5 times (on the 3rd DL). It'd be laughable if we didn't have to put up with it.
  3. This issue is back in Build 30304 And when I switched to ANY other version, (ex 30255), it re-hashes everything that was added in the later version.
  4. Interesting. Since my down speed has been showing less than half what it should, I tried going back to v2.2.1 (just copying over the resume.dat file), and now everything that I had added in the newer version has to go through a hash check. That's a royal pain. Anyone know why this would be?
  5. Took me 3 tries to get that version. I really wish they'd get their download system fixed. It's just stupid the way it is.
  6. Yeah' date=' but this time it is by design [/quote'] POOR design, imho.
  7. Ummmmm, that seems pretty screwed up ........ especially given that they can't even bother to put the version in the name (and I don't see why that can't *easily* be done). I mean really, you can't even tell WHICH build you're getting then, UNTIL you run it - and you better be sure you're running it as a stand-alone, or you're probably *really* screwed .....
  8. I have no local peers on my network, only my system. That setting has never changed.
  9. I also noticed in Build 30255 that there is a new (for me) indicator that pops on & off in the status bar by each speed - L: (in kB/s) What is this indicator? Thanks!
  10. Here's a question - if we're subscribed to this thread, why don't we get notified when there is a new build posted? Hint, that would be VERY convenient .....
  11. Well, I can tell you that the new build (Build 30269) does not launch for me (at least not with the /RECOVER switch) - it just crashes.
  12. No, this hampering of download speed seems to occur regardless of what I use or whether I re-start or how long it's been running. It even affects the downloading torrents. If this can't be fixed, I'm forced to drop back - again - to 2.2.1 --------------------------- fwiw, by FAR I get the best upload speeds from 3.4, but can't DL (or surf) for squat I can only hope this aspect gets resolved quickly. Other than that, (and the annoying lack of the PAUSE button), I didn't see anything major with it over the past day or so. ------------------------------- I also noticed that, when I set a limit on the upload, if my DL speed goes over 1 MB/s (I have a 6MB connection), then I get a Disk Overload up to 20% I usually run with caching off (on 2.2.1), but enabling caching and setting the size to 1800 appears to resolve the Disk Overload issue. Any recommendations on the current BT.CONNECT_SPEED and MAX_HALFOPEN values for Win7 x64? (currently I have 50 & 100) Thanks!
  13. Something else I noticed. If I put a value in to LIMIT my UL speed, then I see it drop to almost nothing - ex, my up speed is ~500 kB/s, if I enter 400 or 450 for the limit, then the speed goes down to nothing - if I leave it as 0, then I get the max speed, but my browsing is affected. I did not see this effect in previous versions (though I'm only now trying 3.4, having stayed on 2.2.1 until now). I think it's *getting* there, but still some issues to get worked out.
  14. Not the button' date=' the pause operation. And removing the button, just reduces the # of times people will use it. Pausing is bad for the swarm. "*absolutely*"...[/quote'] Sorry, my friend, I don't buy that - while I am *not* an expert in the protocol, I do not see how it can "hurt" the swarm, any more than dropping OUT of the swarm.
  15. Here's something odd - why would I be showing as a Peer to a download MULTIPLE times? Same IP showing, some with uTP, and different Flags. Strange.
  16. I know that (Why did it even get removed though? It's not like it was competing for space). It is problematic as the behavior is undefined. Connections are being held/counted ' date=' eventually disconnected. Exiting in this state - leaves the peer with useless connections, etc. Plus it is not *that* useful...[/quote'] I know that (Why did it even get removed though? It's not like it was competing for space). It is problematic as the behavior is undefined. Connections are being held/counted ' date=' eventually disconnected. Exiting in this state - leaves the peer with useless connections, etc. Plus it is not *that* useful...[/quote'] With all due respect, rafi, that makes *absolutely* no sense whatsoever. If the functionality is still retained in the right click>pause, then there is NO difference in having it as a toolbar button. To me, I feel there are any number of ways that pause is beneficial for a user over a full stop. To say the a button is undefined and should be removed, but keep the functionality as (a LESS USEFUL & CONVENIENT) method in right-click, is ridiculous. Honestly, I expected a better answer from you.
  17. Start' date=' pause & stop you mean? I'd like to see pause back too.[/quote'] Yes, that's what I mean
  18. The MAIN toolbar should have all 3 icons - just like it used to. NO sense whatsoever to not do that!
  19. You might want to try 3.3' date=' that seems to behave correctly for me...[/quote'] Ok, I haven't tried 3.3, but may give it a go. Will let you know
  20. Well this is interesting, after running 3.4 for a few days (since my first post), everything seems to have ground to a halt - even when I have multiple seeders. Additionally, it no longer "gracefully" shuts down". Rather a PITA. Sad. Looks like it's back to 2.2.1 until this stuff gets fixed. "LOOKS" like you might be on the right track though. <fingers crossed> ========================= Well, I switch back to 2.2.1 and (after everything finishes re-checking <sigh>), all the connections are fine and I'm getting full speed on everything.
  21. Well, I can't say it did that for me - it appeared to check files just fine (I had to re-add a few as the torrents were not in the same place as previously). Oh! Speaking of that! It would be a NICE feature to be able to SPECIFY the location of a torrent file, when it gives the error that it cannot be found - right now, all you can do is remove it and re-add it.
  22. Also noticed that the "multiplier bug" affects ALL categories, and even spreads to include uploads in the downloads category
  23. With the Add Dialogue. ====== Doesn't matter HOW the torrent is added, it still prompts for the RSS Feed. This entry is in the log - Accepted launch|Type: auto Location: http://Build 28762
  24. In this case, double-clicking a torrent from a Chrome download.
  25. Also, why does it prompt me to add an RSS entry with EVERY torrent added? I would PREFER to remove RSS *entirely* - I have no use nor desire for it.
