  1. 0. backup all you *.dat files 1, there is one step: rename to utorrent.exe and replace you existing exe (where all the dat files are) 2. No. The LAA flag was added by me, so the signature is "broken". Exclude the exe in your A/V & Win Defender apps 3. Hard to say, probably. This depends on your torrents' list (which is huge) and cache setting (which you can reduce to ~512M) 4. This is my assumption, yes. You are the one to test and share the result... PS: You can שךדם use me settings file to avoid the ads...

    bug

Ask his IP & port , and use peers' tab -> add peer IP:port
  3. 2.2Mbyte/sec = 17.6Mbit/sec + some 5% overhead , which is probably why.... XD
  4. If this is related uTorrent "pro" - email support. If you ask me - your regular A/V should be good enough , it's a bit redundant for utorrent to also check.
  5. Recheck them all... Next time, SAVE your resume.dat.old file as soon as you see this, and use is as resume.dat in your next run. Beter yet, save it every time you run a new session, for safe keeping...
  6. " date/time when a certain torrent was see completely the last time." -> this is not realistic, since the "last time" is always progressing/incrementing, until it becomes a very rare torrent. Also it is not very useful IMHO..
  7. If you mean - that you want that checked when adding the torrent, I think it is nearly impossible, unless you want to invest in re-associate the .torrent into your own script *before* passing it to utorrent. You you can do (tho, not tested probably) - is define in advanced->run program on state change - your own script that will compare your torrent name or part of it - to your existing torrent files' names, and echo/popup some message on a match. You can also save every new torrent name in your own list when adding, and compare to it. At least you can easily search manually too in it...
  8. With this huge number of torrents you are likely to use large RAM size which can be limited by the 2G 32 bit app. I suggest for you to upgrade to the latest version 3.5.5 46200 which I have an LAA flag added to enable up to 4G usage. See links in my sig.
  9. Not enough horse power, so not in my school... Just play with exclusions in your A/V and M$ "security", and you'll be fine. Just don't take M$ too seriously when it comes to P2P... They have a vested interest... XD
  10. The are all the same in the eyes of M$ ... PUA types...
  11. More likely *deleted" it... Disable PUA (Reputation Based Protection)
  12. There IS "native" support for .torrent files which you can set it to auto-add/download in pref->directories->Auto load .torrents ... No such method for Magnets, tho. Also there is /DIRECTORY command line parameter to add a torrent (see the F1/help for the format). You can experiment if it works the second time when uTorrent is already running, tho I doubt it...
  13. You have a guide + example for that in my sig. Nice speeds, BTW
  14. Probably some error during the first addition of it. You can try opening resume.dat with BEncode editor and delete the entry for it in there.
  15. Make sure your "x" does shut it down, and not minimizing it... You'd best wait a few seconds after as well.
  16. .. that's why you beter save a backup of your setings/resume files *before* each session you run...
  17. Sounds like you have more annoying issues than worrying about security... I think that as long as you do not enable Remote->utorrent remote access, you can feel safe. BTW, you can disable PUA in your Windows 10. Plus, always make a backup of all your settings files (*.dat) just in case you marked by mistake to delete them while uninstalling.... BTW, you can get the latest (smaller) Beta and just locate if anywhere you like *with* your old setings.dat and other *,dat, no need to install and uninstall.
  18. Maybe it will work by order of the "#" column. Try to sort by it before you start the recheck.

    3.5.x Beta

uTorrent EXE with LAA Flag - link updated with build 46148 stable, flagged ...
  20. Maybe some bug/mix-up between updating a copy on %appdata% (the default) vs a local copy/install you have? Manual update is always best...
  21. Which build number are you on, and have YOU tried with my settings' file?...
  22. np... Sad to hear it's not changing things for better (like what?)... You might want to try change to the latest build (46112 beta), just in case there was an issue that has been fixed...
  23. Does this happen if/when you use my settings file too?
