  1. maybe add the build # near the date info in the download page...
  2. probably, if you will post your crash dumm (blablabla.dmp) here, and give minimal details as to your OS/environment ...
  3. hmm... and does it not seem strange to anyone that there is a reference to a toolbar w/o any previous log to when it was entered as "new feature" , ha ? ... something like:
  4. let's drop it... we have all the "details" about the changes here anyways ...
  5. so, why is it not happening with TCP (only) connections ?
  6. but.... they said all the builds are the same/stable, why do you really care about installer modifications/bugs ?
  7. (and how would I do that if I run 1.8.3 ?... )
  8. do those modifications cause an auto-update ? if so, don't you expect a user to be a bit curious what was changed - and come back here to look it up in the change-log ? ...
  9. well, I meant sexy... but yes... erratic will do... sorry about that ... btw, my connection is 1500/150 , so the upper limit for the DL has to be determined either by the UL limit I set, or the ISP max DL limit.
  10. I checked the DL speed with and w/o uTP (trans_disposition 5/15). 1 "good" torrent DLing , ~150 connections, calc_oh - on , 2 UL slots, ~12K UL limit. I was disappointed to see that w/o uTP the speed is smoother and less erotic. It is also faster by ~10% - maxing my connection speed . Please try and adjust uTP to perform like TCP ? can you ? By rafi_d
  11. I see no reason to not get out with 1.9 once 1.8.3 is tested (good...) , and the new code is back ported to it... the major change will then be the initiation of uTP caused by different default settings in 1.9
  12. @moogy: I think he missed the 15123 issues (spyware stuff and such ... )
  13. doing stuff behind our backs, ha ? ... cannot trust them no more ...
  14. 167 ? it was 123... seems that no-one is logging/tracking those now... http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=404112#p404112
  15. "default" ? u should use settings "suitable" to your bandswidth... use control-G. all limiters are disabled by default, which is not good. upload limiter should be set.
  16. they are working on it in 1.8.3 beta ...
  17. why don't you try it and tell us all ... who knows...
  18. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=404033#p404033 ...
  19. probably this: - Change: Left align numeric fields in settings ...
  20. an issue ( bug?) with web seeds . I'm not sure it's related only to this beta only, and if not - please move the post: in a private torrent , that have web seeds, when you start it the first time - it's DLing fine. When I stop and run again - it will not connect to the web seeds (or my patiance runs out before it does...) . When I make any change (i.e. - CR, space) in the seeds' pane - it seems to connect and start DL almost at once. edit: also, if you put the same seed-url several times, sometimes it seems like it misses one (makes one less connection). AND... pausing seem to *NOT* effect traffic flow from the seed. edit(2): also , it seems that data is showing to be downloading, but the progress (%/size) is not changing, seems like it is NOT really downloading... here is an example of such torrent: http://www.zshare.net/download/5847485419698220 (note: this can be due to specefic problem in the data in this example, and it might be blocked to IPs outside this ISP range...)
  21. DL limiter - seems to work nice (trans_disposition=15), though with calc_overhead = true, it's a bit off (unless the graph intends to show the data rate w/o the overhead) UL limiter - shows nicely, but the data rate *including * the overhead is like 4-6K higher. By rafi_d
  22. well, if you look only at the numbers... try look at the code/bugs, there is now the older code in 1.9 ...
  23. any plans to backport to 1.9 (that I run) soon ? ..
  24. good to know that it's not only me ...
  25. syncing the actual update/build with the updater message should be a trivial thing, I'm sure it's just a matter of a simple error of the admin here ... right Firon ? ...
