  1. Hi Everyone,I had the exact same problem as some of you here. Anyways after reading and reading and trying a bunch of stuff for the last 2 days I think i might have figured out what was wrong with my problem. Specs Win Xp Utorrent 1.6 and Linksys Wrt54G Firmware version 4. something (had just installed it) PeerGaurdian2 Kapersky 6.0 This was what I had initially tried: 1. I tried portwarding 2. I set up Static Ip 3. Tried a bunch of options on Utorrent ( unclick this and that and so forth) I finally disconnected the router and started to isolate each problem 1 at a time. Figured it wasn't firewall( made utorrent.exe file "safe zone" ), nor peergaurdian2 so it had to be router. Now, after reading and reading all the Info from portforward.com (printed it out) I finally realized that the ip that they ask you to write down from doing the command prompt run in Dos . Then you go to tcp/ip properties and and punch in the numbers you found from previous step. After that you click ok, and ur supposed to go to your router 192. something soemthing and set the utorrent port and the ip you supposedly had from the first time in Dos mode. Well, Nowhere does it mention in that site or ANY of those steps that you arent supposed to put in the EXACT numbers! Example: The ip address you got from your computer doing the Start>run>command function say 192.168.1.100 . That number ain't the ip you put into ur router for static ip (not are any of those numbers you get from doing that "get ur static ip option" step #10 at portforward.com(findstaticip page) Instead of the number 192.168.1.100 I put down 192.168.1.2 Just the next sequential number. Then went back to utorrent and tried the port checker " POOOF" GREEEEEEN light and im ported. DOH!! Anyways, I hope this helps someone cause it sure gave me a huge headache. I thought my Router was screwed or the dam firmware was shiznitz! Just pissed that portforward.com FAILED to mention in the steps just to write down the next sequential number for STATIC IP and stick that into ur router DOH!!!!
