Awesome Now everything works great including upload/download limiting But I have question about net.calc_overhead It only separates files up/down and communication overhead ? Or set to true, add also overhead limiting because upload limit set to 15KB/s with net.calc_overhead=true, causing upload to be about 11KB/s (graph properly showing limit about 15KB/s) or its simply bug in shown actual speed in menu ?

@ arvid - it also happens with downloaded files but today I cant reproduce that uT with set upload limit didnt reconnect to peers/seeds, it reconnect, but it takes ages to do it ;p or maybe yesterday I wasnt waiting enough... bt.tcp_rate_control = false bt.tcp_rate_control = true It seems that in bt.tcp_rate_control=false, uT waiting only about 1/2 time compared to bt.tcp_rate_control=true but still IMO its too long

Just only me having problems with upload limit ? When I set it on seeded torrent, uT will stop uploading and disabling limit restore all connections with peers, odd...

Im talking about it... when adding a torrent, trackers are not shown (of course in advanced menu in general tab... lul)

How updating helpfile in near time, cause there are too many new preferences Offtop: many people = many preferences xD IMO this shin should be default, but NVM nice will be doing some cleaning in Skins, like seeing only compatible skins with newest stable branch, cause there are too many incompatible skins for old uT

Yep, fixing upload limit bug should be next to crash bugs, cause its annoying on my 12Mb/512kb... Nice will be seeing this fixed in stable 2.0 or I need to stay on 1.8.5 forever ? and many ppl will probably spamming "Found Bugs" forum, when this wont be fixed and stable 2.0 will be released...

µTorrent 2.1.17350 Alpha crash without dump on first run, because uT cant create it... ;p posting only log http://www.mediafire.com/?unkijwwqg3a good job with optimizing uT, now I dont get lags or slowdown when browsing websites with speed upload limit, its much better (but I still see 22-25KB/s instead my 15KB/s, but nvm, now its working better ) and I discovered that uT2.1 have better upload limiting to get faster download speed without user upload limit, than in uT2.0 (1.8.5 working fine) EDIT: link fix

its updating ;p only uT isnt Open Source like Fx, thats why we cant see all changes in real time xD

@ Ejziponken 1.8.5 = stable branch 2.0 = test branch 2.1 = nightly minefield release trunk very similar to Fx development ;p (3.5.5 , 3.6 , 3.7)

1. uT 2.1 like 1.9 & 2.0 didnt respect upload limit... limit set to 15kB/s and uT uploading 25-30kB/s ;p 2. I get many errors like this [2009-10-17 11:22:39] Error -1 occurred while attempting to get stream metainfo 3. @ rafi - even when "net.calc_overhead" is set to "true", uT1.9&2.0 still didnt respect selected upload limit and overwrite it about 2x... I hope this bug is on red list and have high priority and of course will be fixed in final xD @ pestbest - thx ;p

@ Switeck - with my 12Mb / 512kb I use active torrents - 4 (2 with 256kb up) max connections - 250 (125 with 256kb up) max connections on torrent - 50 (25 with 256kb up) upload slots per torrent - 2 bt.connection_speed = 20 (default) net.max_halfopen = 8 (default) in advances changed from default are: bt.allow_same_ip=true bt.no_connect_to_services=false bt.prio_first_last_piece=true bt.scrape_stopped=true isp.bep22=true but reverting it to default setting didnt take effects, because upload is still overwritten I can post more info or post settings.dat if it will be needed

@ Switeck - in day I use settings for 3Mb/256kb, in night I change settings for 12Mb/512kb... ;p others setting like I said many times are default... DTH are enabled, but it works fine with 1.8.4... and that's not the issue here IMO LIMIT should be limiting all uT connections...

I already post many times this... look for e.g. on my post #227 setting are the same like in uT1.8 but removing settings.dat for setting default uT options + your settings for speed, didnt solve this If you want any more info I will post it

Any chances the upload limit bug will be fixed in uT 2.0 ? Because newest beta 16394 still didnt respect upload limit... in uT1.8.4 limit works fine
