You can't yet, but - AT THE EARLIEST - a new beta may be available once 1.8 goes Beta. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for RC status or stable.

Is this on the update server yet? my 1.7.4 still thinks it's the newest.
Check for updates automatically AND Auto-update to beta versions are enabled.

i'm curious; do the new features "Local Peer Discovery" and "Auto uplink throttling (beta)" work together? because on a shared connection with a limited upload some kind of coordination between clients would be brilliant.

It's simpler because you don't have to broadcast your entire desktop or anything; it's just an interface to the program itself. Also, since it can be run from any common web browser, it is much more practical than something which might require you to install software on the client machine to access it.

problems with the flash interface should be directed to the Flash uTorrent Web Interface thread but also note that the flash interface is much less complete than this one, though Pleh is doing a great job and it's getting there.

i'm still having trouble getting the webui to autorefresh in IE7. anyone else having such problems or have any tips on how to make it work? i've just been manual refreshing periodically.

You're correct, the latest µTorrent beta is not included in the zip, though it is stated in the readme and several other posts that it is. (unless, of course it's been fixed since i downloaded the zip myself earlier tonight.)
So I'll refer people to µTorrent in Deutsch for the most ridiculously comprehensive release archive of everything µTorrent. There (at least) you may find the latest beta until things get fixed.

anyone bitching about IE6, get the Flash Interface for the WebUI and quit your sobbing. Pleh is doing a good job and it's coming along nicely.

okay crap, i changed nothing, but now it gets stuck at Loading... for me as well. tried clearing cache, disabling/enabling. no dice. according to uTorrent's Status log it GETs everything correctly, just doesn't do it. the Loading... page only lasted for a split second before, when i had it working. quite odd..
edit: and just as inexplicably, it works again haha. this is really intruiging!

noroom: yup. right click works fine in IE7 (B3 and RC1).
tbird: According to that screenshot you're using uTorrent 1.6 build 474. Use the build included in webui_v0.300_beta_1.zip (475) and see if you still get this problem.

running on IE7 Beta 3 here. Loaded with no problem whatsoever, just used http://127.0.0.1:<UTport>/gui/index.html and authenticated when it asked me to.
What does the Details.. option in the right-click menu do? If it's just to switch it to the active General page then it happens as soon as i right-click on it.
Also the refreshing in IE7 isn't working entirely, but a periodic reload/refresh isn't too much of a hassle.
F4 to hide/show the toolbar conflicts with an IE7 shortcut for opening the location pulldown.
I'm switching to IE7 RC1 in a bit, i'll report back on the functionality i have (or don't have) afterwards.
edit: my bad ICL, let me check it again. ah there it is.
edit2: Beta 3 to RC1 has no differences from what i can tell.

contact your credit card company, see if you can reverse the charges. unfortunately there are a number of websites attempting to make some cash off of free products like µTorrent.

@rafi: the torrent completed balloon.
@Nef: you can turn off the balloons completely but not the open folder.. might be a good idea for another gui advanced option

one is how fast it connects to peers, the other is the maximum number of half-open connections (with no bearing on speed). so it'll connect at 1 connection per every <bt.connect_speed> to connect to <net.max_halfopen> maximum peers. correct me if i'm wrong, but that's my understanding of it.
