  1. I was only concerned about movie torrents, so I only had to make the setting once.
  2. As it turns out, I didn't have to make any of the suggested changes, and in fact, I was able to easily make a change so that utorrent performs exactly as it did before. Here is what I found out: As of Firefox version 98, the downloads no longer open the "Add new torrent" page as part of utorrent. This is explained in the release notes for Firefox version 98. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/98.0/releasenotes/ So what I did was to download a torrent, then right click on the download icon near the top right of my browser page. The torrent appears, and then I right clicked the torrent to open a menu. I select "Always Open Similar Files." From that point on, whenever you download a torrent, the "Add new torrent" page appears, and you can choose which files you want to download, as before. Select OK and the torrent appears on the main utorrent page. All just as before.
  3. I am using Firefox 98. Since that may be the cause of the problem, I will take your advice and make the changes in the settings: where to save torrents, completed torrents, and so on. Also, no matter what site I go to get torrents, the same thing happens. Thanks for your help. (Hopefully, if the cause is Firefox version 98, a future version will correct this problem.)
  4. This problem started a couple of days ago. I have two laptops, one with Windows 7 and the other with Windows 8.1. Both have uTorrent version 2.2.1. uTorrent worked as designed on both laptops for the last approximately 10 years until recently. When I click on a new torrent, instead of the main uTorrent window opening up, I have to now select where the torrent is saved. This never happened before. Also, the "Add new torrents" window no longer opens up. (By the way, on the Preferences page of uTorrent, I never specifed the location where torrents are stored, or to select "Automatically load .torrents from." The Add new torrents window opened, and I clicked to add the torrent. Then the main uTorrent page opens up and I select to start downloading.) Can anyone advise what is going on please? Thank you.
