  1. I've gotta say, I *like* the new icons -- for the tabs and the status indicators. Toolbar as well, of course. They look a lot nicer with 430, too, with the fixed transparancies (as compared to 429). I wouldn't mind seeing this become the default. System tray icon looks better as well.
  2. Thanks for the information, Primus. Much appreciated! Ironically, I had checked the TCPIP.SYS yesterday, just to make sure it took with my latest install of a week ago (it did). Had it not been for that, I'd like to think I would have thought to check it before posting here.
  3. Wow, quick and efficient as always, Firon. Automatic Updates must have undone my patch just recently because it was, indeed, set back to a ten-connection limit. First time that's tripped me up. I'm sure that must have been the problem. As for the buffer space issue, shame on me for not checking the FAQ. I missed it because it was more of a system-wide error. I hadn't previously noted it while perusing the FAQ. Thanks again, Firon! Edited to add: For what it's worth, neither Norton GoBack (don't use it) nor mIRC (hadn't run it that session) would have been responsible for my "insufficient buffer space" error. I'm sure it was a result of the TCPIP.SYS patch reverting to the ten-connection limit. Perhaps another thing for people to check when they see this error.
  4. Is anybody else having problems with trackers with 428? I'm not positive that 428 is the problem but multiple trackers are showing me connected a bunch of times on the same torrent. When an "update tracker" is attempted, it seems to connect to it again until eventually the tracker rejects me for having too many connections. I also had an "insufficient buffer space" error earlier, which I've never seen before, and had to reboot to cure it. The only thing that's changed is the upgrade to 428. Prior to that, everything was hunky dory. It just happened again while typing this out -- all my trackers have rejected me and report "offline (timed out)" even though they are still online.
  5. Nope. Toggling it either way has no effect on the dialog box that pops up when I hit "..." on the "Add new torrent" box. (Just to establish that I know what this is suppose to do!) It did in 1.4.1 412. It did in the 1.4 betas (if I recall correctly). Didn't in 1.4 stable.
  6. Advanced Options -> gui.compat_diropen is broken again in 1.4.1 beta 420. It was broken in 419 too. I missed a few builds before that so I don't know when it was re-introduced. This option was broken in 1.4 stable and worked in 1.4.1 beta 412.
  7. You forgot the "H" flag! ;-) My guess? DHT. Nice change, if so. Less confusing than two "D" flags in the column.
  8. The "gui.compat_diropen" option is now fixed in 1.4.1 beta 412. Thank you very much!
  9. Apologies if this has been mentioned already. The advanced option "gui.compat_diropen" has been broken the last few versions for me, including this beta. I believe it last worked in one of the 1.4 betas. Toggling this option has no effect -- attempting to change the directory in the add dialog just opens a "Browse for folder" box instead of the "old-style" open/save dialog box. Perhaps I've missed something but I did like how it worked in the 1.4 betas -- made getting around a LOT easier since I could access the "Places" sidebar. This client just keeps getting better and better! I'm particularly excited about the new peer exchange feature! Thanks a lot for a GREAT client!
