Updated .conf While there are some country codes that don't have flags, you'd have to look through some of the older posts to find the exact list; I'm fairly sure the ones you listed should display correctly.

Sorry for the late update, but because of this post I was waiting on updating the list. Now that 1.7 is out I've updated the list such that now there's no section for multiple hostname capitalizations.

Because the majority of the .com/.net are based in the US. If you don't like this AlphaOmega has a set that maps 00 to a question mark (I think) and manually adds .com/.net to a US flag when needed. Try looking around on his site: http://utorrent.altervista.org/ Yes, capitalization matters. There should only be about 10 or so hostnames that are duplicated (under their own section after the country code mapping). If you have found any others after that section please let me know. Updated the .conf as well.

Updated .conf and also moved to a nice new server

Updated .conf with all the hostnames that seemed valid (i.e. only the .com/.net ones)

I'm a little confused as to what this means. The primary seems to be working fine for me. Are you referring to the link in the .conf file? You currently get an error because the new server doesn't support listing the file indexes, which I suppose I could turn off, so you need to know the full path to the file. The second mirror has the .conf file, but doesn't allow hotlinking. Hence the link to the main site and not the .conf file directly. Not sure what problem you're having with the third mirror.

Looks like the .conf and .bmp will have to be updated soon. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070124/ap_on_hi_te/techbit_outdated_domain No more .um ccTLD, but since I'm feeling lazy I'll wait for IANA to update their site before I make the change

Yeah the server it was hosted on just up and died  I've moved the domain to another location but it'll take a few hours for the changes to propagate. EDIT: Changes have already propagated for me

Can't really blame you for not reading all the old posts since there's a bunch; but, as it has been posted several times previously, .com/.net are mapped to US by default so aren't needed in the list.

Thanks guys, that was a pretty hefty update (and only a few duplicates to boot!) New .conf available in the usual place.

Strange that you took the .conf format posted in this thread but didn't actually use the domains everyone has contributed thus far so you ended up with a mostly empty .conf file instead

Added the above 3 domains to the .conf

For some reason it had both iqara.net|IN and iqara.net|UK so searching for duplicates didn't catch it. Fixed in the new .conf file along with the new domains

Interesting, but let me know when the IANA puts those on their list as not all of the ccTLD match up with their ISO 3166 counterparts (most do though). http://www.iana.org/cctld/cctld-whois.htm

I removed the ones that weren't registered. breakballz.com|SI (not registered) Codename-SiD.net|SI (not registered) ekonomska.net|SI (not registered) party-slo.com|SI (not registered) slo-metal.com|SI (not registered) tele-tv.net|SI (not registered) I'm not really sure what you mean by spam, I checked some (but not all) of the hostnames and they still resolve to SI.
