  1. uTorrent on the way out?

One of the biggest issues was how hard it was for them to be contacted about this hole in the first place.. We needed them to be active and proactive in communication not a new client which apparently doesn't distinguish itself from it's other clients.. This all just goes from bad to worse now I'm forced to deal with the bug ridden Qbittorrent and it's only a matter of time before utorrent is deleted.. Was great while it lasted, RIP.
  2. uTorrent on the way out?

Rafi, you know how piss poor Bittorrent Inc is at communication. Hell they used to barely post logs. An admin some in for a bit once in a blue moon.. I've told them on the forums many times they need to buck their ideas up, they can't be bothered.. just want to "keep the lights on" while doing sweet F all of anything. It's on the decline and so we know how that goes. If they listened to me, they'd be in a better place. They don't listen and they don't care.. these are obvious facts.
  3. uTorrent on the way out?

This is exactly as unknownsoldier has said, people are saying the fix isn't complete and many places have banned it as a result. Unless uTorrent show it's actually fixed properly, this client is as was said, "on the way out" and basically dead. I've already had to switch to qBittorrent which has been a pain in the arse as it's nowhere near as reliable as uTorrent and is quite buggy still. Unfortunately usability isn't on the list as far as client approvals go.. I told them they needed to clarify things and sent them a link to that discussion mentioned above but they've done nothing.. The communication here has always been poor and this seems to extend further, they're killing their client. Poor response time and the inability to prove that the fix is complete. Trackers aren't taking any chances.. There was already distrust with this client and now people have seemed to had enough. I also asked about whether the flash exploit had been plugged as other trackers jumped on that first back with 3.3.x but no response about that either. Honesty this is a simple fix, I'd like to see this client approved again by trackers but it requires something I don't think the Bittorrent team can muster.. Timely and thorough communication.
  4. 3.5.x Beta

Why does uTorrent show 13MB/s disk read/write when I only have two torrents active delivering on a dozen or so kb/s? I disabled caching of disk reads but no change, task manager is giving constant values of over 13MB/s while uTorrent dishes out KB/s even disabling the cache doesn't change anything. I'm also seeing this with 2.2.1 as well, although the disk rate is lower at about 8MB/s instead.
  5. 3.5.x Beta

So.. uTorrent Web beta is out.. Here's hoping sites are open to approving this fresh start. It's still rather simple, but here's hoping it ends up having the same management abilities as the desktop client.
  6. 3.5.x Beta

Have any changes been made to the code that prevent malware installing via flash exploit that was reported last year? A reply from a dev would be preferred.
  7. 3.5.x Beta

They're working on the new client, feature wise I think this version is "done" Probably won't ever see anything beyond 3.5.x
  8. 3.5.x Beta

You're not going to get those idiots to whitelist this or any other version of this utorrent client at all ever. They hate it and have zero interest in reviewing their nazi ass decision regarding it. There isn't anything that can be done to fix it, many have blocked it simply because of advert security concerns or that bundle drama. This is maybe in part why they've started developing a new client, you probably won't see this released this year, maybe next if Bittorrent inc gets it's shit together.
  9. 3.5.x Beta

NEW CEO? MOAR FOCUS ON uTORRENT? HOLY SHIT. Plz fix the over 100% bug. Plz add extra features to the remote client so I don't have to remote in so much. Plz allow me to copy files not just move them Plz allow for automatic actions on torrent completion
  10. 3.5.x Beta

Why do I keep getting an irrecoverable error permission denied line 10 in common.js? I have to delete the contents of the old installation directory before I can install, this isn't the first time I've had to do this now. I also had 360 Total Security throw up that FS.ocx and FS.dll are infected with PUA.fusioncore.ME.3 which is probably a false positive but I thought I'd post here anyway.
  11. Do you use a 2.x or older version of uT?

Have you read nothing I've said above? Ads can be disabled, and the "social media bs" is two icons..so 2.2.1 is best why? for those reasons? There are many improvements in 3.4 Do what I said above (Beasly has wonderfully created a page dealing with just this) and give it a shot.
  12. Do you use a 2.x or older version of uT?

Features are something you don't have to use and many of those reasons aren't actually good reasons. Ruined? How? Cept the RSS.. :3 my uTorrent 3.4.2 looks better than 2.2.1 and chances are the UI is faster too. Try the latest, turn off the ads in the prefs and give it a shot.. back up beforehand to be safe.
  13. Do you use a 2.x or older version of uT?

Personally I find 3.4.x to have a clean UI.. also is anyone having disk I/O and caching issues now? I don't get asked to rate torrents and I don't have built in Anti-virus. As far as social features go, I have a Facebook icon.. I don't have ads either and haven't had any stability problems.
  14. Do you use a 2.x or older version of uT?

    Why you trolling me bro?
  15. Do you use a 2.x or older version of uT?

And yet you asked anyway. You had all the tools and prior knowledge to answer your own question but you didn't. If that's not a failure in the truest sense of the word I don't know what is. Your language just highlights further your own frustration at not being able to answer the obvious. Congratulations.
