  1. I'm still seeing issues with the UI freezing when changing the global rate limit from the status bar. Further: Can someone confirm the bug I reported on page: 44? Definitely something that needs to be fixed, but I would like to see it confirmed first.. Thanks.
  2. Bug: Global rate limiting affects UTP rates to local peers. Limit local peer bandwidth: False. Local peer added manually. The local peer was only able to upload at the set rate. Upon toggling: net.upnp_tcp_only to true; upload rates increased to the expected speed. Checked on physical and VM hosts, same behavior was noted in all my tests
  3. You don't need to install the WebUI. Click on the gear symbol to go to options -> Click Web -> Click Enable uTorrent Web Remote Control. Enter a username and password, uTorrent will validate it and allow you to use it. Go to your browser and type: http://web.utorrent.com Enter your username and password, and VWALLA! WebUI without any complex set up It's quite cool actually.
  4. I noticed with build 2286 (and a few builds prior) that I encounter interface lag when right clicking speeds in the status bar to set speed caps. This delay can be anywhere up to 4 seconds and results in the window showing "(Not Responding)" in the title. I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue as I cannot establish a pattern of occurrence? The issue is intermittent but when it happens, it keeps happening until restart. Edit: Fixed typo and cleaned up the last sentence.
  5. Got to say, I love the new GUI and basically the entire of the alpha, but I have also noticed speed issues between versions. That said I am aware how hard it is to quantify the differences given different peers/seeds being connected etc etc. but the 2.2 builds seem significantly quicker. Either way, I like the way the interface/features are going. If only it was blazingly fast as well >.<
  6. I can confirm parts one and two of this. However the CPU usage issue seems to be intermittent. I have been having a lot of fun recovering uTorrent from off my screen. @Ultima - He deserves Kudos for trying EDIT:: 1000th post in thread /flex
  7. I can confirm: Die Coulombs earlier report. If you add a torrent manually, it isn't shown on the uTorrent torrent frame until you manually refresh it (i.e. Click the torrents tree on the left). Missing an update call somewhere?
  8. You can be an elitest jerk if you are that good o.O From what I have "heard' DWK is that good.. Either way, "FunkyDude" got what he thoroughly deserved.. +1 for the mod team Quick query, and one I am sure you are sick of hearing (and hopefully this makes a point), any chance opening a torrent file will case uTorrent to open AND add the torrent at the same time? All those scrubby beta users get the uTorrent adding love, just not us super dedicated uTorrent loving geeks who are helping you test your software You all make me sad
  9. Yeah, that particular "bug" has been reported and lamented by about 50 people so far. Pretty pretty pretty please fix it Mr Firon!? </puppy-dog-eyes>
  10. I've been getting a bucket load of crashes also. Any idea why the program fail when i try to auto submit the crashes? If I can use the automatic system, seems like a better idea. If not, i'll go get the dump creation tools and start uploading
  11. Just trying to help >.< On the upside however, at least you know 2.1 is broken from the 2 pages of people saying it
  12. I'm also getting the Disk Overloaded issue. I read through this thread, thought I spotted something, but I now know that the minimising the window thing has nothing to do with it (for me). I have noticed that uTorrent caches the data (by watching it's memory usage in Window's Resource Monitor. I see the disk writes fire, and I see my disks cache absorb the data then write to disk. What I am not seeing however (and I think I am meant to be) is uTorrent's committed/working set memory decreasing. The memory usage just goes up and up until I get the overloaded message despite there being active disk writes (and upon force checking my torrents I also see that the data on the disk has increased.) Could this issue just be to do with uTorrent not garbage collecting the written data from memory correctly? My system seems to conk out and show the disk error at around 48|54MB (committed|working set) total used memory each time. After which point it just collects more and more data to ram before I force close it. If there is anything I can do/test to help, just shout
  13. I take it this is a rename of your previous .370 WIP thread? If so, thanks very much I have been using this particular webUI for a long time now, and it's just great Thanks for your time and if you are making it a full time project, then good luck
  14. /Pats DreadWingKnight.. It's ok man.. I feel your pain, but if you kill him and tear him into little bits then we will have to get a bucket and brush.. and you remember what happened last time o.O
  15. So i'm having a problem with the webUI when i change the tstatus.png image. Whenever i go to access the site after changing the image i get a screen saying: The webUI is not installed, click here to install it. If i refresh the page SOMETIMES it works, other times it doesn't. So here is what i'm doing, someone tell me if i'm doing it wrong please 1. Extract WebUI.zip 2. Replace tstatus.png With a more awesome version (i.e. the ones offered above) 3. Re-Zip the files using WinRAR or the built in Windows zip archiver (tried both) 4. Place into the correct folder. The folder is there, and when i click the button to auto install the webUI it overwrite my old version... So what am i doing wrong?
  16. Can i just get a mod to clarify where Troubleshooting posts should go, because we have 2 different answers at the moment. @teohhanhui - Lol, happens to the best of us but maybe pay a little more attention? @devs - Good work so far.. I was really confused when i got 3-4 updates on uTorrent in like 4-5 days... Now i know why Keep it up
