I wonder if uTP has any real benefit. They doesnt seem to stop uTorrent from eating up all bandwidth for browser and online media. Even with uTP only, my net browsing still suffers

Say if your uTP is throttled at 500KB/s but if I connect as TCP then you can still upload more than 500KB/s right?

OK It doesnt seem to be a v2.2 problem but if it is 3.x problem them I might want to disable it too when downloading from another 3.x client. Is there an option to favor TCP over uTP but not disabling it?

interesting...I have exactly 10Mb/s upload speed and it seems fine with uTP limited I guess my uTorrent2.2 doesnt have this problem

Didnt you mean check/enable limit to uTP? Without that option, speed limiter always fail...

Sorry my bad in typing 3.5 DOWN, and 0.5 UP. Speedtest.net shows 3.47 DOWN. make sure you do not limit the UPLOAD speed of that .torrent as well as dont use internet for anything else... then check the speed again

And your download speed at that time is? 40kBs... I'm thinking its because I was downloading at 1mB/s

I wonder what could be the problem if my overhead get too high (>60kBs - half of my upload speed)

Seem like bt.transp_disposition 29 is the best option for throttled connections... My university throttles uTorrent, with bt.transp_disposition 31, I cant even connect to peers I set it to 29 or 5 and everything works well... Also disabling bt.tcp_rate_control bump my download speed up to 50%

Where I can I find explanation about advanced options (choker.interval, choker.interval_auto ...) See you changed some of them so I want to learn more about it (maybe fit them to my needs)

But that means if someone turned off Bandwith management, they wont be able to connect to me right?

Seems like uTP doesnt work as well as I expected it to be I tried disabling "Apply rate limit to uTP connections" and set speed download limit but the speed didnt get throttled much for Youtube to play smoothly.
