Similar experience but I managed to recover. I had 70 or so torrents going most in the 700-800meg range few in the 1-5gig range and one in the 10gig range but it was broken into 10 files. After multiple attempts at restarting I got lucky. I restarted select all torrents very quickly and hit the red stop. Now I hit play on each individual torrent one at a time and after each one checked I stopped it again. Got my entire way through the list selected all again and hit play and was golden. At this point for some added sanity I shutdown through the normal exit and restarted. Final step shouldn't do anything but when you can start back at clean slate. As this thread appears to be dead for a couple of months this is purely for the sake of anyone who googles the issue and runs into it. Enjoy the info hope it helps future selves.
