  1. Hi All! I'm trying to consolidate my uTorrent upload folders on my PC as sub-folders under a single folder. I have several folders that I need to move but presume if I do just move them the torrents will stop uploading? (as the original .torrent file points at the original folder location?) Is anyone able to tell me how I can move the folders without stuffing up my uploading torrents? OR...do I need to delete the original .torrents (on TGx), move the folders, then create new .torrents for the new folder locations? Using uTorrent 3.5.5 PS: I'm not talking about the "Directories" settings in uTorrent relating to downloaded media and .torrent files. Cheers + TIA
  2. I hope I can sort out TPB as it seems the most popular site for torrent searches! Cheers + Thankyou very much for your time!
  3. Ok so I don't upload my .torrent file to the tracker's website (like openbittorrent.com or opentracker.org) but instead to torrent search sites like TPB or KickAssTorrents?
  4. In addition to the default [DHT], [Local Peer Discovery] & [Peer Exchange] I added these; udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:6969/announce, udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce, udp://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce, udp://tracker.tiny-vps.com:6969/announce, udp://tracker.torrent.eu.org:451/announce No, haven't sent anyone a .torrent file No I haven't submitted a .torrent file anywhere as I wasn't aware I need to. I assume DHT, Local Peer Discovery, Peer Exchange and the trackers would publicize it! Obviously wrong there! I'm unsure how to do that! Do I use any single tracker of the ones I've listed and it will filter out? or all of them? or do I need to U/L .torrent file to a search website like TPB? (I've just checked TPB and I can't see a link to U/L anything. I've never been able to sign into it! Cheers + thanks for the reply! EDIT: I have signed into TPB at one point as I have a username and password saved in my password manager, but when I use it it says wrong username or password. There is no password reset that I can see and when I click "register" to create a new login, nothing happens?
  5. Hi all! I’m using uTorrent 3.5.5 build 46514 (Windows 10 home) and created 2 new torrents last night. It’s now been 17 hours since I created them but when I search for them I can’t find them, like they are not visible on any torrent sites yet? I just used “create new torrent” in uTorrent (not 3rd party App) and added them there. I included 7 trackers (although I believe torrents will work without them?). I did not select the “private torrent” check box. I selected the “start seeding” option and left piece size as “(auto detect)”. Needless to say there has been no uploads but this is likely because no-one has tried to download it. I tried several months ago to add new torrents but had the same result. I’m wondering if I’ve made an error in the creation process as I presumed they would be visible, searchable and available for DL within minutes? Any clues? Cheers + thanks in advance!
  6. Crikey you have to have the last word don't you! It was nothing to do with ISP throttling as once started they worked at 100% speed. I actually uninstalled and re-installed uTorrent and it no longer does it. Like I said it was just a simple question, no need to keep bangin' on about it!
  7. It was just a question, to see if it was just something wrong with my uTorrent or anyone else getting that result too!
  8. Anyone noticed recently PB search results have been showing mostly zero Seeds or Peers in the last column, but when you start a torrent in uTorrent there's plenty? Cheers
  9. I have 16GB of RAM, shouldn't that be enough? What is "LAA Flagged" and "sig"?
  10. OK so I posted an update to the above, dunno what happened to it! Anyways, I first just used the "Add Torrent..." method, didn't work, then used "Add Torrent (choose save dir)...", directed to where the folders/files are. It did a re-check and then pieces turned green (100%) and it's now seeding. Added 16 hours ago, not one single download yet so I'm hoping I did it right? Cheers + thanks EDIT: typos
  11. OK so shortened the root and sub-directory names. uTorrent still failed but TorrentBuilt worked and created the torrent. I've added the .otrrent to uTorrent but the "pieces" status bar is showing all red, whereas other seeding otrrent sho green?
  12. Thanks for the reply! I tried using TorrentBuild. The app starts OK but as soon as I click "Build Torrent" it gets an "unhandled exception" error. I click "continue" but app just sits there doing nothing? Cheers + thanks again Error text; See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IO.FileNotFoundException: File 'F:\XXXXXXXX[Complete]720p.h265.AAC.2.0. 13. 60 x Individual files, 1 root directory with 2 x sub-directories each containing 30 files. I've tried creating a torrent for each sub-directory but it still crashes.
  14. I have a large (18.53 GB) directory of media I wish to share via creating a new torrent. When I create with uTorrent, it gets part way through creating then crashes and windows says run out of memory. Some Googling sees this has been a problem for some years with respect to larger .torrents and seems unresolved in uTorrent. One thread suggested using a 3rd party torrent creator/editor and recommended "Torrent File Editor" ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/torrent-file-editor/ ) I tried using that but when created, the main panel says "0" for "Piece Size", "Pieces" and "Total Size". When 1st created and directory added, the "Files" panel does list the correct total torrent size. No matter what I do I can't get the main panel to display this info (when I created a torrent with a single file it did show this info?). When I add the created .torrent file to uTorrent, it comes up with an error saying cannot add as piece size is zero (or similar). When I re-open the .torrent file with "Torrent File Editor" the file panels shows only 1 file with zero pieces instead of the previously shown 60 files? Also unsure about which trackers I should include from this list. https://techspree.net/torrent-tracker-list-updated/ When I add about 8 trackers from this list which uTorrent seems to use for my other torrents, utorrents says one or more are invalid and asks me to continue without a tracker? Thanks in advance...Cheers EDIT: I've added snapshots of error prompts, tried to upload crash dump file but exceeds file size limit of this site!

    Curious

As long as it's a LEGAL movie torrent (ie not in breach of copyright) the movie.mp4 has to have the same name as the movie.srt (except for the file extensions) and have to be in the same directory. The .srt won't work in a subdirectory unless you can manually selected via your media player (which is a PITA!) Cheers
