Pref->advanced->sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled = false Thank you rafi!! I had to restart utorrent to get the "Featured Torrent" to not show. It actually crashed the first time I restarted it. Closed it via Task Manager & then restart... Thanks again! -Simon

F8 Toggles the "Featured Content" on the left panel.. I'm referring the extremely irritating "long ad-bar below the "Show Toolbar F4"... It is labeled "Featured Torrent" with an "Instant Download" button on the right of the ad-bar... Any way to disable/hide that... as it is much more irritating than the "Featured Content F8"??? Thanks..

Did you try that? --- I've tried using a fresh copy of uTorrent installed in a Windows 7 x64 system and it still crashed when I tried resetting the column widths on the "bottom pane" of utorrent's 3 pane gui. I've also tried it on a Windows Server 2008 R2 system and it also crashed. They are freshly installed uTorrent RC 7.

Restart uTorrent, you should have 1 more torrents running. On the "Files | Info | Peers | Trackers | Pieces | Speed" window pane, Select "Files", then right-click "Path", "Size", etc... any one of those columns, then select "Reset". uTorrent should crash... If it doesn't crash on the 1st reset, it'll crash if you right click one of the column headings under "Peers", then select Reset again.

Re-settng column widths still causes uTorrent to CRASH every time!! I thought this issue was fixed on a previous build months ago, but has once again been re-introduced into the Release Candidate builds.... Can others reproduce this crash??

This a KNOWN issue I guess... for a LONG time.... 1. The WORKAROUND I use is to remove that torrent from uTorrent & rename the completed torrent directory to something else. 2. Then enable Pre-allocate all files. 3. Re-add that torrent & start the transfer and after a minute the entire "size" of the original torrent has now been allocated on hard disk. 4. Next do a force re-check on this Pre-allocatted torrent. 5. Your completion percent should be negligibly small, 0.01% or less. 6. Now over-write the Pre-allocatted files with the completed files, then do a force re-check AGAIN... 7. You will see that it will now check to completion 8. You can now continue to re-seed your torrent. I know it is a PAIN, but this issue seems to ONLY affect certain torrents with very specific characteristics... They introduced this BUG quite awhile ago in their version 3.x, I guess... Alot of Asian torrents with CJK filenames will also produce this BUG... hence, most/many asian sites has moved away from using uTorrent. Good Luck..

New feature -- uTorrent 3.1.2 "stable" 26740 will ALWAYS CRASH when resetting field widths just by simply right-click and select "Reset" on the bottom pane.

µTorrent 3.1.2 Release Candidate 1 (26702) Help | uTorrent Help F1 is broken, Auto Download Translation is still broken (though can manually d/l on uTorrent Website). Many connected users, even on public trackers are not exchanging pieces w/ uTorrent now., private trackers are beginning to "ban" uTorrent 3.1.x.. not sure why... Is uTorrent transferring bad data to them? Luckily I still had v2.2.1 and started it up and it was "blazing" fast compared to uTorrent 3.1.2 RC1 and...build 26696... Programmers must've broke alot of stuff while integrating uTorrent "Plus" into the codebase???

Strange Logic Bug... I have Limit Local peer bandwidth UNCHECKED, but I have GLOBAL Max Upload bandwidth limited to 30kB.... Local transfers are in the 80MB/s range, so it's OK.... BUT all WAN download transfers drop to exactly 50kB/s total after an hour or so. As soon as I stop the local transfer & restart utorrent, everything goes back to normal and WAN transfers are back to 1500kB/s down & upload rates are at 30kB/s up. Has anyone else encountered such strange behavior..? I tried not limiting global upload rates & that was a temporary fix until I finished the local transfer... I have slow upload bandwidth, so I must limit it. Limiting them individually also works, but global limits are BROKEN when local peer transfers are in use.

Just curious if you could make a 64-bit build of uTorrent 2.2? I think alot more people would use it....

Yeah, I just noticed that they've withdrawn 2.2 (build 23774) and replaced it with the previous build... They must've found a serious bug/privacy issue...

I'm only connected to 1(5) seed and 8(30) peers on one torrent, however, Avail shows over 1011.992. I figure it's a bug. using build 23235. A day before it was over 900. Anyone else notice this bug?

utorrent v2.2 build: 23071, the utorrent.lng file downloaded from "Help" is different from the one on web page.
