  1. FYI: torrents trackers can die off or be deleted even if the torrent file exists the site or trackers don't exists. Not sure why Firefox has anything to do with utorrent software itself here. Remember regardless of what IP you us your ISP knows your locations so your not really stopping them from tracking you but telling them what site your going to by doing that. One can't edit torrent links that is set by the creator of that torrent link itself. You need to find a better torrent link if you having issues with the site your using. Website and their ads has noting to do with utorrent here that is between you the user and the browser and what blocking software you using to resolve that issue.
  2. Sounds more like power setting sleep mode not a utorrent issue. Check your power save mode settings for computer and NAS. That status common or not is based on the torrent trackers itself and the seeders there's nothing anyone else here can do about it. You should check the torrent site your using to verify torrents are active or not.
  3. This goes beyond utorrent help and is best left to sites talking about VPN and security software itself. Utorrent is not a support site to advise on VPN or security software that is best left to site that reviews and advocate for those software.

    VPN

Those are two separate things, unless it is set to run through the VPN then that is different as it's the VPN that controls how torrent works then. Also this is Windows thread so if this isn't related to Windows O/S then the posting is in the wrong thread.
  5. Without what site your referring to know one will know what is happening or what it's doing to know what your asking?
  6. I recommend if it's working don't change it. The settings you have no if it works keep it. I use that version and it works just fine with my settings no bloatware like v3 that causes more issue then it fixes. Only change would be if your ISP blocks your torrent usage then you will have to use Proxy or VPN to access torrents.
  7. That is a Norton support issue not utorrent issue here.
  8. This is for security purpose and big attachments can be malware .exe to infect system loading. Even Email online limits how big files you can attach so this isn't just a utorrent issue.
  9. Attachments? How is that related to utorrent software operation? Are you talking active downloading torrent or failed torrents? Screenshot of the issue your asking about so others can see what is going on.
  10. AFAIK with utorrent running the computer will not go to sleep because it detects activity from utorrent. If you want the computer to go to sleep it must be in idle state to start the sleep mode.
  11. One shouldn't use with ext. drive disconnected it should always be connected or be connected before running utorrent. That's how file system works one can't bypass this Windows check process. I don't this is that hard to figure with ext. drive will have this issue with any file system if it's disconnected the system can't find and will mark it as "no file" or "Disconnected not found".
  12. Read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_BitTorrent_terms#:~:text=Seeding refers to leaving a,peer at the seeding end.
  13. torrent speeds are not same as ISP bandwidth. It varies by seeders sharing the same file. Where is that part your talking about Keep Alive at? And what version are you using.
  14. Where did you download the utorrent for client from?
  15. What site are you installing from? I use a older utorrent version but I download mine before installing.
  16. No such exists I recall even that utorrent help page doesn't exists anymore I recall when I went searching for it. You might have to just do a internet search of how to use utorrent and see what others say or show for configurations.
  17. Doesn't tell anyone much to see what to know happened? Same problem??? That can be anything.
  18. During a crash it takes time for utorrent to "recheck" all the torrents. Did you check the torrent activity that they were active.
  19. utorrent isn't in the business of helping pirate paid software. Support the software developer and buy the paid software.
  20. What App? This is Windows utorrent forum thread? Are you posting to the right thread in utorrent forum?

torrent speeds aren't based on your ISP bandwidth. They are independent of each other and based on seeders and swarms. utorrent can't do anything about speeds since that is based on swarm and seeders only.
  22. Until the seeders start again there nothing that can be done. utorrent doesn't control how torrent files work or download that is up to how the torrent creator made the torrents. Maybe contact the site were you getting the torrents from if there is issue or find another working torrent.

    Sims 4 Updatw

Go and buy and support the Game Developers. Utorrent can't help with Copyright Protected games. Contact the Game Developer for support on their game.
  24. Sounds like ISP throttle. Utorrent bandwidth isn't he same as your ISP speeds those are two different speeds. And since you said no other internet access has this issue this means you got ISP throttle happening.
  25. When you click apply or ok on the setting location it should save it. Did you look there yet.
