Poopsie

I have just started to look at downloading torrent and cannot get above 10kb/s on a 2Mb broadband! I have tried all the DrTcp, port forwarding etc, disabled Norton 2006 and enabled Windows firewall so that i could add a port etc. Still the same, any suggestions that i as a novice can understand? poopsie90@yahoo.com I think I ticked the box to not see email, so that is it if anybody can help.
