  1. Couple of crash dumps were there and then sent. Is there anyway to access them. I know in Firefox I can see my crash dumps (mostly happens in alphas and betas using about:crashes as the URL) dunno if there is a way to see the crash dumps online as well.
  2. Hi all, I have been having a weird thing in µTorrent 2.0 beta 16666 . Whenever I start with whatever upload speeds (doesn't matter its 5 Kbps or 8 Kbps or 15 or whatever) after sometime it loses connection to the tracker. Can somebody tell me what to look at ? This is what utorrent says I have another issue. I am in the process of downloading ubuntu 9.10 beta dvd x86 torrent and whenever I stop and try to recheck it I get the following even after rechecking I get the above statement. After closing and opening utorrent again, I get this :- Trying to resume I get the first statement. There is something more. Something in the diagnostic thread. Any ideas, suggestions whatever please lemme know. This is on internal hdd. Something more, Just did the setup guide [2009-10-03 19:49:38] Server does not support this client [2009-10-03 19:49:38] Checking for forwarded port [2009-10-03 19:50:38] Port Forward test complete. offline (timed out) [2009-10-03 19:50:38] Checking auto portmap configuration ... [2009-10-03 19:50:38] Neither NAT-PMP nor UPnP is enabled. Please check your preferences. In preferences > Advanced > Disk Cache all the options in Advanced are turned on - checked. In Basic Disk caching both are off.
  3. um, I have build 16546 and it doesn't see the update Its been 2 days now. Guess would have to do it manually. Any ideas anybody? guys I tried one more thing, dunno why it isn't successful . I tried to add a tracker to a .torrent but it didn't succeed. The .torrent file was already put up on the other site. Any ideas or suggestions would be nice. I also have one more query/question but its more generic in nature. Does ISP peering have any effect on bittorrent? Also is there some flag which I can turn on so can serve those people who are geographically nearer to me first then far? I know that both the questions don't mean the same. I could have a peer who's geographically closer but to serve him/her I have to go through 10 hoops around the world in which case it would make sense to serve somebody sitting in the US or elsewhere. One bug though :- Maybe its been reported before or not. In the earlier releases, one could update the trackers on the fly (meaning while the torrent files were seeding). Now this is greyed out. I do not know whether that's part in due to some changes at the private trackers though. Any ideas and suggestions on the same would be good. DreadWingKnight can you suggest where I can read a bit more multitracker torrents.
  4. DreadWingKnight if that is so then its not working for there is no torrent in the folder I made.
  5. Any good external application you can recommend for the same - till a new beta build comes out? Update:- possibly OT DreadWingKnight tried to use your tool Torrentbuild. Now it says that it made the .torrent but doesn't tell where it made. Also there is no place within the UI to tell where to place the .torrent file. I have applied to join your site.
  6. same here as well. Tried making my first torrent, needless to say didn't get too far Goes till the very end and then nothing, this is on winxpsp2 build 2600
  7. hi all, I would like to know how to see uTP in Advanced as I installed the latest build 16394 and cannot see anything in advanced saying anything similar to uTP .
  8. hi all (again), This time I want to report problem on the DHT implementation. In the Options > Preferences > Bittorrent options there is Enable DHT for new torrents . Although I have checked it, if I put up a new torrent and look at the trackers DHT is shown as disabled . DreadWingKnight, would love your comment on this.
  9. hi all, The 2.0 new build is indeed a winner . Some queries though :- There are few new/old options like :- allow pairing bt.tcp_rate_control bt.transp_disposition Is there some page or something where I can find more about these three options and they are meant for what/whom?
  10. ma7amed, I have the same issue on one of the torrents as well.
  11. I am also getting 404's when downloading a .torrent while uploading seems to be fine. The announce key is similar to the one which hugootto gave @bt22 why would people get banned if they are uploading ? Do you think the upload count will not show on the tracker ? Another issue with another tracker. This time though, it says corrupt torrent... please delete. Can somebody tell me how it knows if the torrent is corrupt or is that a bug too ? Lastly, the logger is stuck at diagnosing thread Looking for a better release gentleman.

this is crazy, I was downloading a .torrent file when there were 2 seeders/peers from the same ISP as me (somewhere in India, or somewhere in Pune) from where I belong. Anyway, the IP address is/was 59.93.3.112 & if I use any iplookup app. it gives me the following info. :- 59.93.3.112 % [whois.apnic.net node-1] % Whois data copyright terms http://www.apnic.net/db/dbcopyright.html inetnum: 59.88.0.0 - 59.99.255.255 netname: BSNLNET descr: NIB (National Internet Backbone) descr: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited descr: Sanchar Bhawan,20, Ashoka Road, New Delhi-110001 country: IN admin-c: NC83-AP tech-c: CDN1-AP status: ALLOCATED PORTABLE remarks: Request for additional IP Addresses for NIB Phase-2 mnt-by: APNIC-HM mnt-lower: MAINT-IN-DOT mnt-routes: MAINT-IN-DOT remarks: -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-++-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ remarks: This object can only be updated by APNIC hostmasters. remarks: To update this object, please contact APNIC remarks: hostmasters and include your organisation's account remarks: name in the subject line. remarks: -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-++-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ changed: hm-changed@apnic.net 20040906 changed: hm-changed@apnic.net 20040906 source: APNIC route: 59.93.0.0/20 descr: BSNL Internet country: IN origin: AS9829 mnt-lower: MAINT-IN-DOT mnt-routes: MAINT-IN-DOT mnt-by: MAINT-IN-AS9829 changed: routemaster@sancharnet.in 20060404 changed: hm-changed@apnic.net 20060404 source: APNIC role: NS Cell address: Internet Cell address: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited address: 8th Floor,148-B Statesman House address: Barakhamba Road, New Delhi - 110 001 country: IN phone: +91-11-23734057 phone: +91-11-23710183 fax-no: +91-11-23372252 e-mail: cgmdnw@sancharnet.in e-mail: nib_abuse@sancharnet.in admin-c: CGMD1-AP tech-c: DT197-AP nic-hdl: NC83-AP mnt-by: MAINT-IN-DOT changed: dnwplg@sancharnet.in 20030120 source: APNIC role: CGM Data Networks address: Lobby 1 , 4th Floor address: Mahanagar Doorsanchar Sadan address: 9 CGO Complex , Lodhi Road , New Delhi country: IN phone: +91-11-24326781 phone: +91-11-23737571 fax-no: +91-11-24326783 fax-no: +91-11-23737573 e-mail: cgmdnw@sancharnet.in e-mail: dnwplg@sancharnet.in e-mail: nib_abuse@sancharnet.in admin-c: CGMD1-AP tech-c: DT197-AP tech-c: BH155-AP nic-hdl: CDN1-AP mnt-by: MAINT-IN-DOT changed: dnwplg@sancharnet.in 20030120 source: APNIC hope u can use this to somehow improve the flags for Indian ISP's AFAI understand tht u use the ISP/place or some name to resolve to some country flag. Something like :- somename.com|somecountry I understand tht this is more easier as contributions are also easy to make. Just wish there was someway to improve/improvize the things . Keep up the good work

nice work eng the only issue is slapmafhro site Im unable to access
  19. I do hope tht utorrent works on GNU/Linux distros. Hopefully they make it open source as closed source seems to take more time & effort on GNU as things move pretty fast there. Also would give impetus to have more utorrent clones & therefore improve GUI-based visibility of bittorrent on GNU. I n fact with the kind of archiving utilities the binary could be made so more smaller. I would be eager to see how do they work out . I wish these guys had a blog or something so we would've some idea when things will move there. I'm so looking forward to dump windows & move to ubuntu or mepis. The only thing stopping utorrent
  20. From whatever I've known the releases are 2 months or little more between releases or this is the way it seems. If somebody knows better please correct me.
  21. kruppa_ I know about wine but would be waiting when there is a native port. Something like apt-get install utorrent either in debian or some other repositery
  22. I like what Teknoguy has said about paying the developer of the program, the only thing which I'm waiting for is when he ports utorrent to GNU/Linux mostly debian then I can use GNU full-time. This is the only torrenting app. which I use exclusively
  23. thanx for a great client. Have no other glowing words to describe it
