Resoow
Hello.I'm having some problems with the webseed seeded torrent. When I start download a file with webseed support, it work well for 1-2 minutes, then the server disconnects and uTorrent doesn't connect to it anymore (even after 5-6 hours). The only way to reconnect to the webseed is to remove the torrent and restart the download or close uTorrent and reopen it. Also, sometimes the download speed freeze at certain velocity, but actually it doesn't download anything. So, is there a way to fix this or is it related to the tracker\server where the file is hosted? I tried with other client and it goes smoothly, though.
PiusX
What kinda torrent are we talking about? And what other client are you referring to? Making general problem request without specific tells nothing that can help here?
Resoow
The client is the latest version of uTorrent and I'm having problem with the majority of torrents seeded via webseed. It connect to the server, download for a while and then stop. I've tried with qbittorent and is all okay (at least it reconnect to the server that provide the webseed). Resoow
I don't understand what you mean, if I've to specify better the version, is utorrent 3.4.3 build 40298 (the last one, like I've said). When I create a new .torrent with a webseed (the file is hosted on a server, then I copy the link in the box "Webseed") or download a .torrent seeded this way, utorrent download from the server only for a few minutes, then it lost connection to the server and it doesn't reconnect to it anymore. As I've said, with qBittorent when it lose the connection, after a few seconds it reconnect and restart the download. With utorrent I've to close and reopen the application. PiusX
Latest version....doesn't specify which version?? And did you try to download OpenOffice and see if the torrent slow down or stops? That would be a test to see where the problem is coming from. Also this sounds more like a webseed problem not related to torrent itself. Did you consider that they limit the connection time and amount of data transfer?
Resoow
Ok, I tried with another webseeded torrent and it download without any problems, so I think the problem is related to the server, that maybe is not much stable. The connection is not limited, it have a bandwidth of 200GB and sometimes it download for one minute and other times for 10-15 minutes (same speed). Probably the servers goes down for few seconds, uTorrent lose connection and when the server return online utorrent can't reconnect to it.Settled that is a server problem, is there a way to force uTorrent to restablish connection automatically to the webseed like qBittorrent does?Or I have to continue to close and reopen uTorrent each time? EDIT: I don't know if this can help, but sometimes the webseed got banned, but when the ban expires it restart. Other times, instead, the ban doesn't occur, but the peer list display the server with an upload speed that doesn't change (for example, it freeze at 300kb\s, but without actually download anything). The only ways to make the download from the server restart are:- stop and restart the torrent- close and reopen utorrent- clear the webseed list of the torrent, save and then re-add the webseed links.- remove the torrent and re-add itAnother thing that I notice, the speed reported when I stop the mouse on the quicklaunch icon is accurate, the one reported near the torrent is the real speed + the speed at with the server froze.
