New uTorrent will not run force check when clicked

Tested with the newest stable release '3.4.3.40760' and newest Beta which I could find '3.4.4.40786'.

 

A torrent was partly downloaded with uTorrent.  uTorrent was uninstalled and a new uTorrent installed.

 

Using a connected drive to store and download data to.  Pre-selected download location default to be the same as where the data previously was downloaded and now exists.  Used copied magnet data to start the torrent.  

 

• uTorrent did not find / check for the existing data. (On the bright side, it also did not delete the existing data and it appears to still be intact.  The disk space used by the folder that the torrent data goes into takes up the same as before.)      

-hit start, stop, Force Re-check  (uTorrent does nothing but say stopped)

• uTorrent was not pointed at the correct folder.  'Open containing Folder' shows only the main download to folder above the regarded download path selected.  No sub-folder gets created to point to, as the same sub-folder name existed. 

-redirected the torrent to the appropriate download location with 'Set Download Location...'     'Open containing Folder' now leads me to the correct location- at times.  repeating at times would send me to 'my documents' folder on the c: drive.

 

-hit start, stop, Force Re-check  (uTorrent does nothing but say stopped)   Data still exists, the expected files never load in the bottom of uTorrent.  It remains blank.  The magnet link brings up the torrent name and trackers, trackers never update and time out.
